Android zero-touch customer portal
Learn more about the changes to the new zero-touch customer portal
The new zero-touch customer portal has been designed to make it easier for you to manage your account. Here are some of the key changes:
- New look and feel: The portal has been redesigned with a modern look and feel, making it easier to navigate and find the information you need.
- Improved navigation: The navigation menu has been simplified and reorganized, making it easier to find the pages you're looking for.
- Updated Terms of service: Updated the zero-touch customer terms of service and customers will be prompted to accept the terms of service upon next login to the zero-touch customer portal. The terms of service need to be accepted once by an admin or owner of the customer account. If you own multiple accounts, you might need to accept the terms of service for each one.
Note: when attempting to access the zero-touch customer API. Any existing solutions leveraging the zero-touch customer APIs to access an account that has not yet accepted the new terms of service will receive a TosError response. Users will need to accept the terms of service by signing in to the zero-touch enrolment portal.
- New features/changes: The portal now includes a number of new features, such as:
- Improved search: search for specific device(s) by the fields below, without specifying which identifier(ie. IMEI, MEID, serial number).
- Additional fields on device CSV download: You can download a CSV of existing devices assigned to your organization, which contain all data seen on the device management page with additional field(ie. Reseller name and reseller ID). Additionally, unified the formats so the customer can download a CSV, make changes to the profiles, and upload it.
- Undelete account: You can no longer undelete the account once deleted, alternatively you can reach out to your reseller who can then reach out to us to recover your account with valid reason.
To access the new customer portal, simply go to link. You will need to log in with your existing username and password
To help you navigate the changes, please refer to the customer portal guide.
We value your feedback, please use the feedback button as shown in the attached GIF to share your insights:
If you have any questions about the new customer portal, please create a new community conversation in the General Discussion board.
Thank you.

Just want you to know, in the device section it would be good to be able to also display the model in the table (not an option yet), if it was provided ofc.
I just had a case where we saw that the reseller uploaded devices twice (same serial and order number but different model) and you can only guess which one to delete. I did it now by always choosing the 2nd entry but in case of something like that it would be good to see both to be able to delete the right one for sure.

Thanks so much for sharing this here Moombas. I'll add this to the feature request we currently have for additional device details in the ZT customer portal.
I know we have a few others requests above on this area, so if anyone else would like to add anything else here, please do add below and I can highlight it back in the same ticket. 😀 Also, if anyone else has a similar use case to the above or others please share that too, it's great to have extra context on these ideas.
Thanks again,
Lizzie

Hello everyone,
I hope you are doing well.
I have some good news, a new enhancement is coming to your zero-touch customer portal - Audit logs. This will be rolled out over the next couple of weeks, but before then you can read more on it in this community update.
Big thank you to those of you who mentioned this as a feature request here: Flo, jeoffreyburri , Stefano.
It would be great to hear your thoughts and please keep the ideas coming, these all go straight over to the ZT team. Massive thank you.
There is more on the way too - I'll keep you posted once we are ready to share. 😀

Hello,
Can't wait to test this :)
We're also very much looking forward to the new roles, as we have more and more support teams who need read-only or read/write access (but without being admins) to the ZTE console.

Hi Lizzie and thanks to the Google team for the improvements!
With this post I'm proposing some more enhancement to facilitate the life of Zero Touch IT admins 🤓
- Please consider to add to “Devices” section new fields: Serial Number, Manifacturer, Model and Submitted date (or Uploaded date): in this way an IT Admin can sort devices based on different inputs!
- please consider to insert filters and sorting buttons for all important fields in "Devices" section, E.G. Configuration, Submitted, Manifacturer, etc: in this way an IT Admin can sort and filter devices based on different input!
- please consider to add the possibility to access to a "Device upload" view where an IT Admin can see all the uploads made by their resellers and view witch devices were uploaded in each upload.
- please consider to give the possibility to easily do actions like “Apply configuration” or “Remove devices” by selecting a subset of devices, maybe pre-filtered (point 2), or maybe devices uploaded by a reseller in a specific date (point 3)
I really believe that with this improvements Zero Touch console will be highly improved and will make all ZT Admins's life a lot easier!!

Hello Stefano,
This is amazing, thank you for taking the time to illustrate your ideas in so much detail. I just highlighted this to a member of our Zero-touch team and they were really excited to see this. I wanted to let you know that we've just created a feature request ticket for it.
I'd love to hear a little more about these enhancements if that's ok, are you currently having to do workarounds to get this information?
It would also be great to hear from others to see if these would be useful? jeoffreyburri, econocomintune, isaksen, Henrikcj, Moombas, Flo, SimonW, @Rakib, @Batlac, @CarusoCorn, @Nate-Dogg, @nbcomcasteve, @ljcobley,

Hello,
We cannot add user with email from our company : we can add user only with @gmail.com.
Is it normal?
- econocomintuneLevel 1.5: Cupcake7 months ago
Hi again,
We are not able to add devices by csv : only resellers can do that?
We have many sites in Europe and somes collegues bougth their device personnally for a professional usage (My company refund the employee): they want to be managed in Zero touch, so we need to import their devices.
Please help.
2 years ago it was working fine 😉

As customers we were never able to add devices. That would be dangerous as you could add a wrong device id and potentially taking over a random device in the world.
Our reseller adds devices bought trough him in retrospect if we ask nicely.

Hi
The new search field doesnt seem to work at all. I get no reaction when trying to find a device with an imei in the search field.
- HenrikcjLevel 1.5: Cupcake7 months ago
What about some user management ? It could be nice to have a user roles only for adding devices to a Configurations.

Firstly, I really like the engagement from the Community Team on this post - it's actually quite refreshing when compared to the rest of our Microsoft Infrastructure!
Requests for this portal, in order of preference:
Admins and Owners should be able to opt-in to receive email notifications when a device is added by a reseller. This notification should include the device IMEI or serial, order number (if applicable), the name of the applied configuration (extra helpful if you guys implement the per-reseller configuration application), and the reseller name.
Additionally, when attempting to invite additional admins, if the admin doesn't yet have a Google account, you get a the error: 'An unexpected error has occurred. Try again later.' - this could be much more specific!
This would help align the Zero Touch portal with similar market offerings (such as Apple's Business Manager).

Hey SimonW,
Lovely to meet you, welcome to the community and thanks for your great feedback.
There some good ideas here, out of interest regarding the notifications, I know you mention email notifications, would you prefer it to come via email rather than in the portal? Or ideally both?
Thanks also for highlighting the error message, I actually mentioned this to the Zero-touch team the other day (I had a German version of it that another community member shared) and I agree more guidance would be helpful here. I'll check in with them as I think they were keen to update this.
Thanks again, looking forward to speaking more.

Hello Flo, jeoffreyburri, Rakib, Batlac, CarusoCorn, Nate-Dogg, nbcomcasteve, ljcobley,
I hope you are all doing well and thank you again for all your feedback here. I just wanted to highlight an update coming to Zero-touch enrollment in early September. A few customers asked about this, so hopefully you will find this useful. You can read more in this community post. We will be sharing more about it when it rolls out, but would love to hear any thoughts you have in the meantime.
Thank you,
Lizzie

Just to come back on my previous message here regarding Multi-Identifier registration. I'm pleased to say this enhancement is now live.

How do you add a single new device to our options of prfiles?
Thanks,
Corny
