Creating a Cameyo Server

Your Cameyo environment determines how you install and configure your server. Cameyo supports two primary operational environments:

• Bring-your-Own (BYO) Cloud Environment: Google manages the deployment, scaling, and resources within your existing GCP or Azure subscription.
• Self-Hosted Environment: You manage your own cloud or on-premises infrastructure, deploying the Cameyo agent to connect virtual machines to the Cameyo portal.

Option 1: Bring-Your-Own (BYO) Cloud Environment

In a BYO cloud environment, Google is responsible for deploying and scaling (up and down) virtual machines (VMs) and other necessary resources within your cloud subscription.

Initial Requirements

Before you begin, you must grant access to your cloud subscription. Follow the setup guide for your specific platform:

• Google Cloud Platform: Set up BYO-GCP
• Microsoft Azure: Set up BYO-Azure

Deployment Steps

1. Log in to the Cameyo Admin console and select Dashboard.
2. Click Servers .
3. Click +Add.
4. For Cloud Server, select your preferred Cloud Region.
5. Under Capacity, select your required Cloud server performance level. For details on sizing, see Set the capacity for your Cloud server.
6. (Optional) If your applications require graphic-intensive performance, check the GPU box.
7. Click Create Now.
8. Once the server is active, the status icon next to the server will turn green.

Option 2: Self-Hosted Environment

In a self-hosted environment, you deploy the Cameyo agent on your own cloud or on-premises hardware. This agent connects your selected VMs with the Cameyo portal to enable virtual app delivery.

Deployment Steps

1. Log in to the Cameyo Admin console and select Dashboard.
2. Click Servers.
3. Click +Add.
4. Under Self-hosted, click Get started.
5. Follow the setup instructions detailed in Set up a self-hosted server.
6. Once the server is active, the status icon next to the server will turn green.
