Re: Managed configuration to Gboard has disappeared from MDM
Yes, other users (than us) at Soti Mobicontrol also reported this and first we haven't seen it ourselves, we now see this as well. Just poked Emilie_B about it this morning. Maybe she or Lizzie can tell us something about it.59Views2likes0CommentsRe: Setup using another device wizard screen removal
The bad thing, there's no real possibility for placing feature requests but i really like to poke Google again and again that we need such thing as we again and again face such things which would be very helpfull but needs a place to be addressed.44Views2likes0CommentsRe: Setup using another device wizard screen removal
I think you are talking about COPE device enrollment right as i can't remember this for COBO (fully managed)? And on COPE it may make sense as there's a private part which you may want to transfer from one COPE device to another because of replacement. Actually i don't know an option to skip this but agree that this could make sense but guess Lizzie that this would require a feature request to add this as an enrollment option being set in the Java config part in ZT.25Views0likes2CommentsRe: unable to enroll the Samsung S25 ultra into Intune as BYOD.
Hey SatyaNarendra , if they suggest to contact Samsung why then asking here? If you want to reach out to Samsung, best way is to go through the Samsung Knox portal (https://www.samsungknox.com/) and contact support via that. They are quite fast in responding even i guess in your special case it would require a deeper investigation afterwards. And see also this topic (but i guess this is a bit different): https://www.androidenterprise.community/discussions/conversations/work-profile-on-s25-ultra/10331 But btw. how about other models? Do they work fine (maybe also from different manufacturers)?37Views1like0CommentsRe: [Community Team Update] Welcoming Emilie to the team...
But language training can go some many ways. On my end also no "tools" like duolinge where there but i learned it because of gaming "internationally" and many communities and help articles/guides were a bit better than the German ones (even my grades at school in it have been poor before😅).14Views1like0CommentsRe: [Community Team Update] Welcoming Emilie to the team...
Not sure if it will really help as the video is in (not best) german as he seem to be originally an italian guy ;) but here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_4OrX2ZW2A And, yes: In homeoffice (or when gaming) it's the same here. Instead of resting on her "bed" in the hallway, resting close to me on the ground 😃18Views1like1CommentRe: [Community Team Update] Welcoming Emilie to the team...
My dog is called "Kalea" and was taken away from a breed "factory" (before she got used for it) and never learned before how it is living in a house and within a family before. Now she is often my "shadow" when I'm at home^^ This pic is from autumn in the garden: The Pizza receipt was taken from youtube and i just brought it to paper 😄 Regarding the Apprenticeship: I'm not an Apprentice and i would be that and add an extra course on that in order to do so. As said, i come from a different Apprenticeships (something like Communications electronics technician for Radio technology). So no chance for something like that on my part of the company, other departments ofc do. I only most likely remember my last LAN party as this was at that moment one of the largest in Germany still with a CRT Monitor 🤣...now thinking about it, i feel quite old 🤣21Views2likes4CommentsRe: [Community Team Update] Welcoming Emilie to the team...
Welcome here in the community and looking forward to read from you😀 I guess Lizzie introduced at least some of the most active users here already to you but if you will participate in the next PES, maybe it's possible to know each other there better (if I'm allowed to join as well 😛). My main language is German but at work most likely English. I learned French a bit in the past but forgot all about it as i never needed to used it. Yeah dogs are nice, we also got one now since ~6 months from animal rescue and don't want to miss her (Bernese Mountain dog + ??) anymore as she is very nice and calm. Favourite food i can just agree on Pizza and just last week we tried a new receipt which took way longer time than we normally do but it was worth it^^ Into my current career i got because i was repairing phones before and I'm also very interested in general into technical stuff, so even i never learned IT stuff as a apprenticeship, i ended up as IT supporter main responsible for our mobile devices in our company. I can't remember my first piece of tech but i guess my first self owned PC is something which was very important as at that time with LAN-partys and so on a lot stuff learning was starting and growing interest. That's also why I'm main responsible for technical questions inside our family. So, i guess that's enough to write ;) Read you soon.119Views1like6CommentsRe: google pixel 9a are not enrolling in zero touch
Mburdick350as Lizzie states here, in such cases first ideally reach out to your reseller. They could in worst case reach out to Google via the partner community but ideally just tell you what has gone wrong and reuploading the devices.34Views0likes0CommentsRe: ATOK installation Failed in Corporate-owned devices with work profile
Keep in mind that using a proxy/VPN may change this if the VPN/Proxy routes through a different country where an app is not available. We had this issue several times but in Soti it was easy to capture as you can lookup the apps in the agent and when you tap the relevant app you get the error message from playstore telling you it. Not sure if Intune shows such overview outside of the MGPS as well. We needed then to turn of wifi (as this used a proxy), reboot the phone (with mobile data on) and then the phone was detected correctly and app can be installed. Turning on Wifi afterwards again ofc. Or for VPN: Turn off the VPN connection, reboot (optional) and check again. After installation turn on VPN again. Or just "sideload" an app via the MDM (not sure if Intune can do that) if developers provide the original apk (I don't recommend to grab it from unofficial source for security reasons).21Views2likes0CommentsRe: Celebrating World Earth Day! Fully agree, I'm one of those who stay on a device as long as possible. None of my devices ever broke always needed toi exchange because of lack of hardware power (outdated /too slow) or for security reasons (OS Version got too old). And this is not only because of sustainability but also because of saving a lot of money. So if i pay 300€ per ~5 years for one device, others pay (see below) 1500 (same device) up to >5000€ (flagship devices) for flagship devices. And to be honest if you would ask many people who for example buy always the newest device and flagship, mostlikely they don't need (the power of) it (doesn't mean to be in business case). They just "want" it and think they need it.5Views1like0CommentsRe: Celebrating World Earth Day! Share your experiences
And in fact the longer you can use the devices, the less often you need to do a major replacement which would be often a big bunch of devices in one go and always is a big task on multiple parts of a company. And to provide sorted out devices to a reseller or refurbisher is one of the hardest tasks as you need to consider a lot o fthings from security side to managament side and not to forget the physical handling (when devices are spread about entire europe or even world).50Views3likes2CommentsRe: [Community tips] What guidance do you provide with new devices?
Hey, hmm i think i need to seperate here private (as for your example) and work. Private: No guides are provided but onside help or via phone (this goes in my case for all technical stuff in near family) and in regarding PC also sometimes via remote control tools if needed. Work: For some things like enrollment, how to flash a device before enrollment to latest firmware or how to use the MDM system, we provide several guides and inside helpdesks and for the endusers they also create something for "best practice" in several use cases. But what we don't do is, if OS is changing to provide a guide about that. If there's a significant change they need to be aware of, they get informed by us via news. Ofc if guides needs to be updated because of that, we do so. But yet only our helpdesks needed to be informed about such stuff, not the endusers.39Views2likes0Comments
