Accent on french keyboard has changed in Android 15 (and also 16)

Hello,

Since android 15, some characters are not taken into account correctly. For example the tilde character is showned on top if you use an external keyboard (Alt Gr + "é") and is showned on the middle of the character if you use the onscreen keyboard.

Example in android 16 (but 15 seems to be the same):

On external keyboard: "˜"

On onscreen keyboard: "~"

In our barcodes we sometimes use this character and thus it is an issue after updating to Android 15 the devices in production.

does other French people see this or any character change ? (It seems the "¨" also changed)

As you can see the tilde is at the middle on both means to do it.
We opened a case at Samsung support but here is their answer :

It seems that since Android 15, the keyboard shortcut (Alt Gr + é) for the tilde (~) has not been added to the French keyboard and were not correctly transferred from A14 to A15 and A16 by Google.
Since Samsung has its own keyboard (the tilde character also does not work), I will try to forward this case to the R&D team and ask for their support in this matter.

For my side, I would like to ask for two things:
1) Report this issue to Google.
2) Report this issue to the Beta program to introduce a fix in A16.
