Access to preloaded app with Intune COBO/COSU

Hi all,

 

We have a customer who is trying to enable a preloaded app on our tablet running Android 16 (basic notes taking app). The tablets are enrolled in Intune in COBO or COSU mode. The package name is correct and added in the app enablement list on Intune, but they see the app stuck on “pending install” state, while it works for other apps such as our camera app. We are unsure what’s causing this, does anyone experienced a similar case and has any advice please?

I don’t work with Intune but did you try if the app is available if you use a device without enrollment (so like consumer enrollment)?

So it can be that the app is not able to be installed on the device because of Android version too high/low.

    Yes the app is present and works fine without enrollment, it’s an in-house app so it works fine with our deployed Android versions

    In this case i would recommend to grab adb debug logs and try to figure out if there are logs related to it.
