I have the same app installed from Playstore on both profiles (Work Profile and Personal Profile), when I update the app in Personal Profile (from PlayStore) the app (with same package name) in Work Profile also gets updated, also the app update receiver misbehaves.
Is there a solution to it as both Profiles should be completely separate and standalone?

The way profiles work is separation of user data, while sharing underlying packages. What you're seeing therefore is intended behaviour and a limitation of the current system.
If you update a package in either profile, or any other created user profile on-device (managed or not), the package itself will always update for everyone.
There's no workaround for this today.
