Question

Bulk assignment of ZTE Devices broken via CSV?

I have found a variety of these questions posted both here as well as across other places on the net.

It seems that the requirements to apply a bulk change to devices in ZTE are very specific. I cannot find a way to make it work. I’ve tried CSV files from Excel, Google Sheets, as well as just making it in a plain text editor.

Every single time the file is rejected as an unsupported file type. I would really like some clear guidance on how to make this work consistently if at all possible.

Thanks.

Hi,

Have you tried to follow the template available here : https://support.google.com/work/android/answer/7514005?hl=en#zippy=%2Cdevices%2Capply-a-configuration-to-many-devices%2Cdevice-configuration-csv-file-format ? You can also download the template on the customer ZTE portal just before upload a file.

Yes I started with that template from the portal. It does not allow me to upload it.

What role does your account have you want to upload the file with?

And see my answer below as well.

Please ensure, the filename / extension is correct (csv) and the fileformat as well (UTF8 if i remember correctly).

Maybe also provide a cleaned sample including headlines you want to proovide to the portal.
