"Contact not found" in Samsung native app when searching in Exchange Global Address List

Hello,

For several weeks now, we are facing an issue in Samsung Contacts app about searching contacts in our Exchange Global Address List.

This feature has worked flawlessly for many years, and now when we search for a contact in Exchange GAL, contact is found but when we try to open it Samsung Contacts app fails to open contact and shows “Contact not found”.

    Samsung Email app 6.2.11.4 has been released.

    Tested and OK on my side : contacts search in Exchange GAL works.

    I just tested Samsung Email 6.2.10.8. As you describe, the GAL search works, but the Samsung Contacts app cannot open the contact and displays “Contact not found.”

    Since this concerns Samsung Apps, only the developer can provide further assistance. Their support is very constructive and I have found it to be very positive so far.

    I would therefore recommend that you open a ticket with Samsung in the Samsung Knox Admin Portal. Log in to your account and then click on the question mark in the top right-hand corner of the portal to "Submit/View support tickets".

        Which E-Mail App are you using?

        For example, with Microsoft Outlook, this is not supported - here you need to search you GAL Contacts within Outlook App. Just your own Contacts can be synched to native Contacts App (which of course breaks time to time)

        Hi w4lter , thanks for replying. 

        We are using Samsumg Email app , it was working maybe 3 weeks ago. We can see it reaches the GAL ok ,bet then it is blocked by samsung knox. With Boxer inside the app its working fine.

        Hello ​@w4lter ,

        I use Samsung Email native app.

        And it is not GAL contacts sync issue, but request GAL from Samsung Contacts native app, which is based on Samsung Email app to do this.

        The development team has made the Beta test version available for the customer requesting verification regarding this matter.
