I have enrolled a fully managed device using the Android Management API. However, when I delete the device from my enterprise using the enterprise.device.delete API, it factory resets the data. I want to preserve the user's data instead of performing a factory reset. I also tried creating a personal use device, but then it didn't allow me to launch an app in KIOSK mode. I want both features: running an app in KIOSK mode and preserving the data when I delete the device. I'm not sure how to achieve this.
Hello,Got an issue where we have a website we need to use a Bluetooth headset on android. Within Chrome the browser does not let you use the Bluetooth microphone. It seems to default to built in mic on the device. Is there any way to make the phone default to Bluetooth mic every time all the time? Can we change the audio_policy.conf and make it do this through the root file?
We are observing, Intune started displaying the Serial no's /IMEI's of Samsung Android 12, 13 device and device type is BYOD -> Work Profile. did you see this in your environment? Model affected are SM-A,G,S,G,M SERIES.
Hello everyone, I encounter a huge problem with my dual sims and my 2 profiles (work and personal).Everytime i received a call (unknow or a work contact), it's appear on the default dialer app (personal), and I think it's difficult to manager this on a unique application. When i try to create a contact from this app, the system want to add to the personal contact. Is there a way to manage with a work dialer app and connect it to my work profile? Even more, there is a way to link a sim to a work profile? If someone want to call me on my work number, to link it to the work profile? Thanks for all your feedback
Does any one have solid contacts/methods for getting Verizon to enroll us in the Zero-Touch Portal. We recently had a company fall under our IT umbrella and their corporate phones needed to get into our MDM (they currently have no management system on corporate cell phones). They used Verizon to purchase their Android phones last year, but daily phone calls to Verizon Business Management and they still can't seem to get us enrolled or find the right department to do this. I actually haven't spoken to anyone (and I have now been forwarded to nearly 20 people in Verizon) who has even heard of the Android Zero-Touch Portal. We've had an trouble-ticket/incident number open with them but don't seem to be gaining any traction. Anyone have any helpful experience or contacts with Verizon?
Hi everyone,I did see in previous posts, that we had a problem with missing apps a year ago. (https://www.androidenterprise.community/t5/general-discussions/fixed-service-announcement-available-work-apps-missing-in/td-p/811) Since yesterday we have a problem, that all optional apps are not visibile in the managed Play store. Our users see only the required apps but not the optional apps or webclips. This happens only for users enrolling a new device. Existing users does not have the problem "yet".Is there anybody else seeing this problem. We use Ivanti EPMM.Kind regardsMelkon
I have implemented the AndroidDeviceProvisioning client sucessfully.I have added scope "https://www.googleapis.com/auth/androidworkzerotouchemm" to my accesstoken. This is the error I am getting:"code": 403, "errors": [ { "domain": "global", "message": "The caller does not have permission", "reason": "forbidden" } ], "message": "The caller does not have permission", "status": "PERMISSION_DENIED" Which permission here is being denied? Or what permissions do i need to get from my end? Currently the account i am fetching the devices from is our own account itself, so i have access to the ZTE portal as well.
Hello, We are currently supporting our German-based client enrol and manage over 700 Samsung (Android 14) tablets and phones into their Microsoft Intune tenant, both dedicated and fully managed. Over the last 2 months we have been having significant issues with enrolment when using all methods except token based (afw#setup), whereby the device gets stuck and hangs at the 'Install Work Apps' screen for several hours until they finally install and enrolment can continue. We have tried multiple troubleshooting steps but without an easy way to access the logs from the enrolment screen I have an inclination that this is not a Microsoft issue since the device does actually appear in Intune as enrolled (just not registered in Entra given it doesn't reach that UI step). We have tried enrolling devices into a completely fresh Microsoft tenant with no app or device configuration and the stuck issue still persists. The issue appears for brand new, never enrolled, devices straight from o
Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well. We talk here in the community quite a lot about setting up company devices and managing devices whilst they are in use, but something we haven't gone into too much detail is what do you do with your devices once they have come to the end of their life at your company? I imagine you have to consider quite a few things; such as if you are removing devices how do you get new devices seamlessly back into use? What do you do with the old devices? Do you return them to your OEM or another company to be reused? There is a large sustainability factor here that you may also consider, as well as many other things. It would be great to hear how do you manage this? Do you have a set timeframe that you look to refresh devices? Any tips or challenges that you have discovered? Looking forward to hearing from you. Lizzie
Over the past month, we’ve noticed a significant increase in the review times for our apps that are permanently private under Managed Google Play. Previously, review times for both closed tracks and production were almost instantaneous. However, we’re now seeing delays ranging from 20 minutes to over an hour. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Is there any known way to revert to the shorter review times we had before? It’s possible that this change coincides with our recent verification of developer accounts to meet the new requirements, but we’re unsure if that’s related.
Hello, My Owner account was changed to Administrator by mistake.I lost some functionality like adding users, changing roles or deleting users. My Zero-Touch console is no longer has an owner. Is it possible to go back to have the owner role? Thanks in advance
Hello, We have a custom mobile device management solution that we built to manage android tablets that get sent out to patients with our private application pre-installed. Currently we disable the notifications drawer so that they cannot access settings, and see all of the spam SMS notifications that the tablets get via the default messages application. Is there a way to alter the notifications settings for the default messages app so that it can't display notifications, or some way we can clear them out?
Hi dev,I have idea about new featue private space ,This time we create olny one privte space , it thought it move to user base private space if we have 3 different IDlogin then user create 3 private space , and we login this ID in another device than no need to create private space .
Hello,We have previously added several dozen of the customer's devices to the ZTP using their IMEI numbers. Is it possible to remove these devices from the system using their serial numbers? Or do i need to use IMEI numbers?
Based on documentation of android management api I have an android 14 device and I want to disable toggling mobile data on or off but when I set policy CELLULAR_TWO_G_DISABLED it is now works as expected. Please help me to achive this. Thanks in advance.
I was wondering if anyone else was having problems enrolling Samsung S23s using Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment into MS Intune? I read the other thread about S23s and Zero-Touch failing, but that seems different than what we see. We get to a point where Chrome browses to https://play.google.com. The page says: Please click here to continue. No matter how many times you tap that link, nothing happens. Everything is just stuck. If you wait a long time, the phone just restarts and is in some weird state. Using the QR code works fine. Also, other models, like the Samsung S20, enroll just fine using Knox Mobile Enrollment into Intune. This is what it looks like. I opened a case with MS, but they say that is Google's page, and they can't control what it does.
I'm new to Zero-Touch technology, and I'm experiencing an issue where a device completes enrollment using a QR code, but within two hours, it automatically resets after receiving a notification.I don't have much experience with Zero-Touch, so I'm unsure how to fully manage and complete the enrollment process. Is there another method to ensure that the device is fully managed after enrollment, or any best practices to avoid this reset issue?Any guidance or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!
Hello guys,I hope you're doing great. We are planning to use Zero Touch enrollment for one organization. This organization has devices in the field, and the end users are not technically proficient, making it difficult to guide them through a factory reset.Given this, my question is: if we add these IMEI numbers to the portal, will it initiate a factory reset to enroll these devices into the platform? Is there any way to determine if these devices will perform a factory reset? I tested this with a Xiaomi device, but the notification saying "this device belongs to your organization, and your device will be reset" never appeared. I have observed that with some brands, Google forces a factory reset, but I am unsure what this depends on.Thank you in advance.Best,
Hello everyone,we have a problem getting one of our customers into the Zero Touch Portal. We get this error message:Any idea what we can do here? Thanks in advance.Best regardsThomas
Hi, I have logged in today to the Google Zero Touch portal and it looks like all configurations, devices and resellers are gone now. This needs to be fixed asap as we are standing close to a mass rollout for which the ZTP was set up and connected to our MDM solution
Hello everyone! I am running into an issue, I need to update the Android versions in my device fleet, currently we work with Android 11, 12 and 13, and would like to upgrade all devices to Android 14. Due to our use case, our devices (SM-T225) only utilize SIM data, and we require this update to roll out without user interaction. Our current EMM offers the options:* automatic system updates* windowed system updates* postpone installation* disable installation However, all options cause the user to be shown a pop-up for the download of the system update, after which it succesfully installs automatically. Is there any way to automatically install system updates with mobile data without user input (Just as if devices were connected to WiFi) Thank you for your help,Juan
We enroll devices into intune as COPE, but we are finding issues when users connect the device to android auto, any stored contacts in the work profile do not feed through. Has anybody come across this before? or know if there is a way to share contacts from work profile with Android Auto?
Hi! We have an ongoing problem with adding apps to our company collection in managed google play. We can add a private app or create a web-app and it works perfectly fine. We can assign the app through Intune so our end users are able to use it. However, we've had an ongoing problem for over 6 months now where we cannot find the app when trying to add it to our collection. We can search for apps but they do not appear when we search, thus making us unable to add it to the collection which in turn makes it so our users cannot find the app directly in the managed play store and has to search for it themselves. The issue happens with both private and web-apps and we've noticed that sometimes the app is searchable and we are able to add it to our collection after a varying time period. We've had apps that appears in a search after a few weeks, a few months and some haven't showed up at all since this problem started. I can't say for sure when it happened but it's been more than 6
Dear Community, We are planning to discontinue our Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, which is connected to a managed Google Play account. We have uploaded several private applications that appear to be permanently locked to this account. For our new MDM solution, we created a new account because it was not possible to link two MDM solutions to a single account. Additionally, transferring private applications between two Managed Google Play accounts seems to be impossible. We have shared our private applications via the Google Play Console with the new Account ID, which is functioning properly. My question is: Will our account be suspended or retired if we disconnect the MDM solution? Will we still have direct access to the console to manage the private applications afterward? Thank you for your assistance in this matter.Best regards,Walter
Hi All,yesterday we created an additional admin user for zero touch portal management. Right after, it seems we lost one of our two user instances, now I don't see any more devices, reseller or configurations. Please help, as we are currently not able to see any content in the portal. I hope it is possible to restore. Any help welcome. Many thanks in advance!Best regards, Tobias
