Hi,in general, Android Enterprise devices are always getting the latest version of an app that is available via Managed Google Play. But, there are some edge cases like:older version needed (example: Citrix Workspace app deprecated app for Android 11 and below, might be problematic for special devices like handheld-scanners)beta tests (example: Microsoft Teams, would be awesome to provide this inside the Work profile)In both cases you are receiving APKs from the vendors. For Citrix Workspace they are available here: Download Earlier Versions of Workspace app for Android - Citrix I've tried to discover possibilities to publish them via Intune (should be equal for other MDMs):Private App in Managed Google PlayProblems:Package Name not unique:The package name com.citrix.Receiver is already used by another application.APK too big.Limit of 100 MB Distribute app via Google Play Console / Developerprivate app scoped to Org. IDbut, same problems as on Managed Google PlayCha
Is it possible to reset the pin of a device that has been rebooted/off and I don't know the pin? I've had devices returned in the past without the pin and it was turned off. My MDMs (yes plural, in the process of switching) can send the commands but the clients do not reply. I've been lucky to have device wipes occur after 15 failed attempts due to policy but was wondering if there was another way.
Hi everyone, I am unable to install intune. It runs but pops up a message "Couldn't add your device. Your organization hasnt setup device administration privileges in their tenant. Contact your company support for help." Incident ID is 7SHTMME9. I spoke to my company's IT department and they said to check with google enterprise on compatibility issue. My device is a Lenovo android tablet xiaoxin pad pro 2022. Model is TB138FC. Any solutions?
With the latest Android 14 - new Microsoft Intune Android Enterprise device enrollments are not receiving the WiFi configuration profile. Android 13 and later will receive the WiFi profile and connect to the hidden SSID with no issue.
One of my client's requirements is to forcefully allow the following two of these permissions. Is there any policy in Android management API to do that?I appreciate any help you can provide.
I have several queries about private app management through the managed Play Store which are the following-Is there any number limitation of releasing private apps?how many times can I update a private app in a day?how to see how many devices got the updated app after it was published?
Hey all, Just a note to any developers/admins that are distributing private apps via the Play Store. It has been seen that some of the private apps are getting a policy warning notification to do with the target API upcoming deadlines in August. This policy doesn't actually apply to Private Apps (https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/11926878) and so the notification is being shown in error. The Google Play team have been made aware of this and hopefully will resolve this soon. This particular policy wouldn't result in any enforcement action (such as app suspensions etc) from Play anyway so nothing to worry about and can be ignored for Private apps. Ben
Hello Everyone ,i have created one policy in this one application added and added forcefully permission for internet.Device network management through disable wifi and SIM network permission for DPC app and policy app.i’m trying to push another policy and use Android Management Api but not fetch in device because not connect internet DPC app.How can solve it ? And which one policy though all time access internet in DPC app when data connect or wifi on.Thank you.
I am finding that when using a work profile, if you set the notifications on the work profile to not show sensitive information, whenever a notification is received by an app in the work profile, the notifications do not wake the phones screen, even with the option to wake turned on. If you set the notifications to show sensitive information, they do wake the screen. On a the personal profile, it doesn't matter if you show or hide sensitive notifications, as long as the wake screen option is on, notifications to apps in the personal profile wake the screen. This behavior seems broken to me, is this a bug? I am currently testing this on a Pixel 7a, with Android 14, build no UQ1A.240205.002.
Hello everyone, hope you doing well. And even hope more you can help us or ever had something similar. We have a customer which uses managed google enterprise/Android enterprise with a workspace mail in Miradore. The device which are managed just working fine. But since 5th of June, private device which are not managed (no work profile pure private devices) by Miradore, require in Gmail the Miradore Client.the only connection we see until now is the used workspace account for Android Enterprise. We would like to help the customer asap, but we even not sure where to start. Every hint and advice would be highly appreciated. Maybe somebody had something similiar. Thank you all:)

I would like to understand the specific reasons for the decline so that I can address any issues or deficiencies in my application. Any detailed feedback or guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.Understanding the reasons for this decision will help me make the necessary improvements and potentially reapply in the future. If there are specific areas that require attention or additional documentation needed, please let me know.Thank you for your time and assistance.

Is it possible to set/enforce the DNS resolver using an EMM/MDM? 🤔 🤔 I am thinking about using a custom DNS resolver like NextDNS, opentext/webroot DNS Protection or DNSFilter on smartphones and tablets that move between different WiFi and mobile networks to block certain contents. Thanks for your input.

Hello I'm trying to provisioning a device into a fully managed dedicated device in Kiosk mode, and I have done it using Android Management Api and 6 tap method and QR code on welcome screen during factory reset. However, now I have device that after factory reset does not display welcome activity. How to provision device line this? Thanks!
Been using Android Enterprise for a little while and generally got things working well. But I am finding a few apps that won't make it to the Managed Google Play Store for no apparent reason. I appreciate some apps are only available in certain countries, but some of the ones I can't get to appear just seem a bit weird, they work on my own personal phone:-BBC NewsRecorder (from Google)Are two examples. For both, I have done exactly the same as others, made them available to the same Group under "available for enrolled devices"Any help, as always greatly received.Thanks.I
The ultimate Google Apple Killer! The Google Pixel 8 has USB C port that allows USB to HDMI in the same way my chromebook does. However it is disabled currently in the android OS. Here is what I think you should do with it. I think you should allow the port to be plugged into a monitor or better yet a hub like the one linked below that I currently use for my chromebook. The great part is I have a phone when I need a phone and if I sit down at a desk I plug it in and It will take all of my open Chrome browsers and send it to my monitors while connecting into my mouse and keyboard. Here are the advantages I see for this:Great phone when you need a phonePortable chromebox that is also my phone and doesn't require me to carry another deviceI realize you have a small portable chromebook but it is a seperate device that is useless unless it is plugged in unlike your phone.I also realize you have Chrome Flex but the terminals Egan has doesn't support it
Hi all! I'm want to start testing the AMAPI via the testing options provided by Google. Just to test policies that are not yet embedded in mainstream EMM solutions. I'm following this guide: Android Management API - Quickstart - Colab (google.com) as a starting point. All goes well until the step "provision a device". And cannot get a token or QR code visible. When running the code in block 22, no token is returned. I tried entering the policyname mannully but that returned a long error haha, so I'm assuming I just need to run the code and it will generate a token that I can use in block 23. Correct? If so, why is it not returning anything? Hope someone is able to help, thanks! Michel
For years now, we have wanted to enroll our company-owned Samsung smartphones with Google Zero Touch (COPE) and adapt our service to move away from the work profile enrollment via company portal, which is time-consuming for the user. Since we are responsible for several thousand devices, we obviously test extensively and over a long period of time before we actually make a change to the productive service. We are mainly using the A-Series Enterprise models. Unfortunately, for years now, we have been repeatedly encountering problems as soon as there is an OS, MDM or Samsung OneUl update. It now almost feels as if stable operation is not possible with this trio. We've had better experiences with other device manufacturers, but unfortunately we've never had the feeling that we could run a stable productive service. It would be a nerve-wracking experience every time an update was due. Has anyone had similar experiences, or does anyone here use the desired scenario descr
