Intune connected to Gmail account — domain already registered, need to migrate bind without unenrolling 468 devices

Hi @Lizzie,

We have Microsoft Intune connected to Managed Google Play since 24/06/2020 using a Gmail account. We have 468 Android devices enrolled and cannot disconnect.

When we try to use the Upgrade option in Intune to migrate to a corporate domain account (*hidden), Google returns the error: "Someone at xxx.com.br has already signed up."

We cannot identify who originally registered the domain on Android Enterprise side. We need Google support to either:

  • Release/migrate the domain binding so we can reconnect properly through Intune

Microsoft support confirmed this must be resolved on Google's side. Can you help escalate this?

Hi,

Welcome to the community!

Did you try to reach out to Google? The support docs for this ask you to fill in a form if you don’t have access, this one to be precise: https://knowledge.workspace.google.com/admin/support/troubleshooting/cant-sign-up-my-domain-for-a-google-service?sjid=8563575735086394043-EU&visit_id=639155473232763057-3508231921&rd=1#in-use

Great to hear you are upgrading to a Managed Google Domain @Gerdau MDM

The link @Michel (thanks so much Michel  for sharing this 😀) provided here is a great way to help find this out, more specifically this form

Just to add, I’ve hidden the domain you’ve shared in your post, as it is publicly visible. I hope that’s ok with you.

To add, we also have an Insiders group specifically for upgrading Managed Google Domain, where others upgrading are part of, let me know if you’d like to join that.

Otherwise, please do keep us posted, on how you get on.

Thanks so much,

Lizzie
