issue upgrading google connection in intune

Hello
i try to upgrade our intune<>google Android Enterprise Connection from a unmanaged gmail account to an entra account (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/intunecustomersuccess/new-onboarding-flow-to-managing-android-enterprise-devices-with-microsoft-intune/4206602)

Unfortunally i get this error screen at the end of the wizard:

 

Any idea whats going wrong here? Microsoft support cant help, since its a google issue. they told me to ask here for help. can someone assist here?

    Good morning and welcome to the club!

     

    I’m not able to help you here, but I can tell you something from my own experience in migrating multiple tenants. It is indeed a Google issue, since you are on the Google pages (see the URL in your screenshot). But since this is launched via the Microsft Intune upgrade flow, Microsoft needs to raise a ticket with Google, not you. 

    The challenge here is that the microsoft support agent you are talking to most likely doesn’t know this. My best advice I can give you is using the escalation channels Microsoft lists in the signature of your support agent. Keep escalating untill you reach someone who is able to raise a ticket with Google.

    It’s great to hear that you are upgrading to a MGD - I am sorry to hear that you’ve hit a blocker though. 

     

    @Michel has given you some good advice here, it does sound like Intune need to provide our team with some details here. 

     

    I would recommend though, joining our Insiders project here in the community, for upgrading to a Managed Google Domain. As there are other people there who have upgraded and we can help to trouble shoot this more. Would you like me to add you to that group?

    No it’s still there ​@Michel - although I think customers are also working with their EMMs for this now, seeing as it’s been out for a little while, but we are still happy to help there if people find it useful. 😀 I’ve added you into the group.
