What security feature is a game-changer and why?

Hey everyone,

Security is one of those topics that never stops evolving and is always relevant.

We all get regular training at work and we know that scammers and spammers are getting smarter by the day. At the same time, our phones became such a big part of our lives —  which makes protecting them (and the data they hold) more important than ever.

Here in the Customer Community and at Android Enterprise, you probably already know how much we value security - so much so that we have created our own security podcast (check our latest episode of The Secure Element here)!

The theft protection features can bring a real peace of mind (you can read more about those here), especially the Theft Detection Lock which uses Google AI to detect if someone snatches your phone and automatically locks the screen, keeping your data safe.

Now, over to you: which Android security feature feels like a real turning point for you and why? What would you like to see in the future? Is there anything you’d like more info on?

Can’t wait to read your thoughts on this!

For me it’s definitely Passkeys support, as it makes it so much easier to log into services without having to manage passwords or have two factor requirements, everything is handled smoothly with passkeys across my devices.

Great shout, @jeremy, passkeys can indeed make login processes more seamless.

Incidentally, we were debating them recently here on the community! You might find the latest episode of The Secure Element Podcast interesting too 👀
