Hello everyone,

My name is Lizzie and I am the Community Manager here in the Android Enterprise Customer Community. You are probably all use to having the roundtable introductions in meetings and sharing a fun fact about yourself. If you are like me, you then spend the next 30 seconds trawling through your brain to find an interesting fact to share with a group of people...the good news is you are not on the spot here!  😀 

This aside, it's really nice in a community to get know others and so it would be fantastic to hear from you!

I'll kick us off:

  • I've been working in community for over 10 year across a few different industries. 
  • I'm a big fan of music and I play a couple of instruments: so my 'office' playlist is quite an array of tunes
  • I live on an island (it's quite a big one): so when I go to the Google office, I actually have to take a ferry, which sounds quite exotic!

      Hi everyone,

      I’m Rafa, the new Community Manager for the ChromeOS Customer Community. I have 3+ years of community management experience and have worked closely with technical teams as a project and account manager.


      Alongside @Lizzie , @Emilie_B and the wider Community Team, I will also pop in here from time to time to support the AE community.


      Outside of work, I’m into music (listening + making), cycling, football, and anything creative — photography, films, installation art, and creative coding.

            Hi everyone!

            Glad to be joining the Android Enterprise Customer Community! My name is Mark, and I work in enterprise mobility and Android app engineering, focusing on low-latency mobile architecture, performance optimization, and fleet deployment.

            To answer Lizzie's intro prompts:

            • Industry: Enterprise Mobility & Mobile Software Engineering.

            • Location: Based out of Pakistan.

            • Hobbies: Mobile hardware tweaking, testing out UI frameworks, and playing casual sports on weekends.

            • Favourite piece of tech: My Android smartphone—it doubles as my primary work machine for testing lightweight app performance and UI responsiveness across different hardware specifications.

            Looking forward to connecting with everyone, exchanging insights on Android Enterprise setups, and learning from the community!

            Hi everyone, just touching base!

             

            This summer I attended the Mexico City PE Summit, which was my first solo trip ever! I was gifted this beautiful keychain which I now wear at my new job in my new school as a Para. The kids know I got it from my Accounts CM in Mexico City and think it's the coolest thing ever. From what I've heard, the Evil Eye is for wisdom and the Elephant is for luck, which is the perfect energy to bring into a Middle School. I also wear my Platinum PE lanyard to bring some of that Google energy and let the kids and staff know they can come to me and I can troubleshoot or get their issue seen by the correct people.

            After that, I went on my 41st cruise! Coincidentally the day before I left for Mexico City, I booked my graduation cruise on Icon Of The Seas!

            This summer has been a whirlwind with cruises, my niece moving in, the Summit (which if I can attend next year, I'm going), and doing classwork but I may or may not have made a few local trips to our local amusement park or saw "Practical Magic 2" last week or saw "SIX" in theaters..…

            I've also done some charity work for our local hospital. They have a cancer center and they do a Ribbon Run/Walk every year and they have me do the media coverage. This year we raised $120K. This is my second year doing it and I had to take last year off but the year before, we raised $125K.

            I also play Ukulele and did a few concerts with one of my groups this year. We have an initiative where we teach Ukulele for free and then provide the Ukuleles. We also have a foundation where we play for kiddos in hospitals and donate Ukuleles for their music therapy. We normally do in the upwards of 100 performances a year, so far we've done about 50. Over those 50 performances, we raised $125K to purchase new Ukuleles for the kids. Our foundation is Kids Ukulele Club.
