Today marks the launch of XREAL AURA. The first-of-kind set of wired XR glasses built on Android XR. Designed to blend digital data with the physical world, AURA introduces several key features for enterprise environments:

  • Productivity and connectivity: Featuring a lightweight design (under 95g) and 70-degree field of view for extended work sessions, out-of-the-box support for enterprise apps, and a displayport-in (DP-in) function to bring laptop applications directly into the spatial workspace.

  • Enterprise-grade management and security: Building on the Android Enterprise management capabilities we introduced for Android XR earlier this year, AURA devices are managed through the same framework - including Android zero-touch enrollment, fully managed device mode for configuring core settings and system policies, Managed Google Play, and core Android platform security.

  • Practical use cases: Built to support scenarios like virtual multi-monitor setups, 3D product simulation, and remote expert assistance while keeping users connected to their surroundings.

Check out our official blog for the full announcement, use cases, and availability details.

Was great to play /w these at the Enterprise Summit, and I've been following this pretty closely.

Any idea on why the UK wasn't included wave #1?

Jason got some pretty weird responses as to why, including one point of needing "localised app support"?

I would have hoped that XREAL understood the playstore 😂

@jasonbayton - what was the specific reasoning again (???)

I've just remembered localised language (u wot)

I think it was just regulatory/certification delays dressed up in simpler language tbh, but it’s a shame the UK - the home of Android Enterprise - missed out on the launch.
