We have a use case where we use Android devices that are corporate-owned but also personally-enabled. Within our ogranisation, we want the capability to trace and block apps. However, this is currently not possible because the apps are installed in the private section. Is there a way to achieve this in the private section? We are using Microsoft Intune as our MDM (Mobile Device Management) environment.
we have an app that requires to set 'Allow all the time' for location permission. We are using Intune MDM and the android 13 enrolled device are using the enrolment of android enterprise corporate-owned fully managed and corporate-owned with work profile. In Intune, there is app config and I set both location auto grant and deploy to the devices. After the app config is deployed successfully to the device, I checked the location permission for the app is still 'don't allow' Then I launch the app to accept the location permission prompt to select 'allow only while using the app'. However, the user is still able to change location permission for the app. Question is this by design that user is able to change the location permission of an app even it is set as auto grant in MDM? Is there a way or is it by design that google does not allow MDM to set 'allow all the time' for an app location permission and it needs to
Is it possible to link multiple resellers to Zero Touch portal? We have users based in the UK, Australia, India and the devices are supplied by different rseller in each country. Can we link them all to the Zero touch so all devices can be managed the same way?
Hello,I am having an issue with contacts from my work profile not being recognized when I have an incoming call, the notification is showing the phone number, but as soon as I pick up the contact name shows up. Calls history also displays the contact name.I am using my personal phone (aosp android 13) as a work phone, with two sim cards and a work profile linked to an enterprise google account. Both profile have Google contacts and dialer apps installed, with the "Identify callers numbers" option turned on. Gave all the permissions I could to both apps, but this hasn't fixed it. Any suggestion ?
Hi everyone, We are using MS Intune to manage our Android devices. The Security patch level data on our Android BYOD enrolled devices seems to be blank on all devices as they do a new sync via Company portal app. It seems like this has all happened in the last few days.Any other MS Intune customers seen this behavior last days? This is very critical to our device compliance.Currently we have a little over 3000 devices enrolled in BYOD mode, and patch info is now missing for about 2/3 of them. On some of our devices where we still saw the info, we did a check device settings in the company portal, and then the info went away. This was with Company Portal version 5.0.5981.0. First guess was that some change to company portal app was causing this issue. There are a lot of devices with recent contact time that still show patch info now, but not sure what CP version is on them.thanksJarmo
I have COPE setup with Intune and getting an error when opening the native Samsung messages app (work profile). The app does not open and only encounters the following error: messages can only be used by the owner of the device. This Google article states that it should work by sending through the default sms app in personal profile. Has anyone come across this?

Hi All, We are an organization of around 500 employees. We are now moving to zero touch enrollment for our devices. We now have a gmail id connected with our Intune managed google play store. We have created a new business id for zero touch portal and all the EMM configurations have been set. The problem I am facing is how to add/connect this new official business google id to managed google play store without needing to re-enroll our devices. The previous user who was handling this, connected the managed google play store with a gmail account. Could you please help? We have over 100+ enrolled devices. Thanks in advance.RegardsIT Group

Won't these rugged phones using Android 12 without updates over time get bogged down?
Hi everyone We are using Android Enterprise, and we find out that after enrollment, no matter by scanning the QR code or using ZT, some apps will be removed, even we configured to keep the apps by using this ""android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_LEAVE_ALL_SYSTEM_APPS_ENABLED":true" So I want to know, why the apps will be removed and what will be remained? Is there a way for me to predict what apps will be remainded? Like some non entertainment app will be kept, while the others are not? Thanks
Hello everyone, A great question by @GMenzies came up in the community the other day regarding Google system updates and the features around managing the policies for devices enrolled using Android Enterprise. It's an interesting discussion point and in many organisations there are a lot of things to weigh up when updating devices. I thought it would be great to have a poll on this to see which frequency you have adopted in your company. Please add any additional comments you have in this topic. Loading… Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Lizzie
I want a json implementation of a policy that will disable wifi for the device
Hello, I am having trouble accessing certain policies on my android management API since they appear to be unavailable or inaccessible. Although I've looked through the official literature and settings, I haven't been successful in solving the problem.I'm specifically searching for information on E-mail,Incoming E-mail , Outgoing E-mail,Exchange Active Sync,Asset tag Information, SCEP, Web shortcuts,Web content filter,Access point name. It appears that access to the availability of this policy through my enterprises policies is restricted. If someone could give me instructions on how to access or enable this policy, I would be very grateful. Please share your experiences or insights if you have come across something similar. Thanks!
Hello, I have several cell phones from the Chinese brand Doogee and what I can see is that the brand Doogee has not updated its Android operating system for a long time, thus becoming obsolete because it is parked on Android 12 without forecasts for updates to 13 and I would like to know next to Android what can be done related to this case as I am afraid of future compatibility problems so I ask for help from the community and thank you very much
