Is there a way to process a name change in Managed Google Play account under Organizational Information - specifically Organization Name?Company has rebranded, I am looking for the easiest way to align the name on the back end.We have roughly 1000 devices enrolled with the current account linked to inTune.
Hey! Does Google offer paid enterprise support for issues related to Google Accounts getting deleted or suspended? We have fixed the issue now, but it took much longer than expected and causes issues in enterprise setups.
Hi everyone, Recently, I'm having some problems deploying Android Enterprise using Google Workspace EMM. Initially, I used workspace to adjust and manage Android devices. However, the requirement to scan a QR to create a work profile has been added. I realized that I can't use workspace to create QR. Then I tried it with the Google API solution using a non-G Suite account to generate a QR code and create a work profile. But I don't know where I can manage and install the devices that have joined my organization using the interface (like Workspace, ManageEngine do). Can someone help me with this problem? Many thanks!
Please remove my automatically resetting demo mode in my phone.
Hi, Greetings to all.Have you tried the possibility of displaying and installing the Managed google play work apps(Public apps, iframe LOB APPS, iframe Weblink) for an UN-MANAGED Device in an Intune Comp portal situation ?. If so please share your experience and success rate for an LOB Apps workflow.Regards, Govi
Hi, For the past few months we haven't been able to approve apps with new permissions under:https://play.google.com/work/permissionsupdate Clicking on 'Accept' disabled the button and changes to 'Accepting' for a few seconds then just re-enables and back to 'Accept', not like previously where the app would accept then fade out of view. Done the usual try different browsers, clearing cache etc. No difference. Can this please be investigated.
Background: We use Zero Touch Enrollment for android and Intune for our android devices but run into issues with the Wi-Fi MAC Address being set to randomized by default. We preset the Device MAC Address on our on-prem android devices in our system for validation along with a certificate. These devices must have the Device MAC Address first and validate the certificate later. Issue: A device comes in and we have to enter the Wi-Fi setting before the device connect to Zero Touch Portal and Intune. Does seem like that big of issue but when you have a large number of devices and have to manually enter Wi-Fi settings or scan barcodes then this can waste a large amount of time - days. Best solution would be the ability to provision the device in Zero Touch Enrollment because only thing that would need to be done with on-prem device is power it on. Problem is missing MAC Address provisioning. "android.app.extra.PROVISIONING_WIFI_PASSWORD": "xxxxxxxxxxxxx","android.
When utilizing Android Enterprise to administer our collection of Android devices, we've encountered an issue. Specifically, when we apply a new policy to a device and the previous policy included certain Google apps (specifically Chrome and Gmail) and non-Google apps as 'FORCE_INSTALLED,' but the new policy doesn't contain any app, we observe that all non-Google apps are uninstalled from the device, while Google apps(Chrome and Gmail) remain unaffected. Chrome and Gmail continue to be installed in the work profile but are not present in the managed Play Store of the device. Could this behavior be considered a bug, or might there be some aspect we're overlooking in this scenario?
Can someone please confirm if this support page is still accurate when it comes to a private app being checked? "Aren't subject to the same checks as other apps. As a result, they can't be converted to public apps. Are non-transferrable. You can't transfer ownership of an app to a different Play Developer account." From -> Publish private apps from managed Play in your EMM console - Managed Google Play HelpWe recently had to deal with an issue that came about from one of our private apps.

Hi,Personally owned devices with a work profile running on Android 12 and above devices today, we are over controlling their personal space by demanding complex password setup.there are two passwords affected by this Password complexity setting in Intune :The device password that unlocks the deviceThe work profile password that allows users to access the work profileEven we choose medium complexity, user are getting a notification to change the device password to complex. this is not feasible for the BYOD scenario. Yes, i can understand security perspective avoid simple passcode, but policy shouldn't force for lengthy and complex passwords. how you configured this password complexity your environment ?.
The project I am working on is a Profile Owner Application. I want to get the Network logs. I have successfully enabled the NetworkLogging and checked the Network logging enable status by isNetworkLoggingEnabled() and setNetworkLoggingEnabled() methods. Now I want to get the network logs using the retrieveNetworkLogs() method. which requires the parameter "batchToken : Long."I have tried several ways to get the batchToken but have failed to get it. Now, I want your kind opinion on how to get the batchToken value and solve this problem by calling the retrieveNetworkLogs() method.Thank you for your time.
Hello, We were informed by our MDM vendor that there is an on-going issue on Android 14 that is preventing some restrictions settings to be updated : https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/95776 Is there any official communication and plans to solve this major issue ?
Hi,I'm implementing the START_LOST_MODE for my organization. The command works and I see the notification on the device saying that its a lost device. If the user doesn't do anything on the device, we can send the STOP_LOST_MODE and START_LOST_MODE again and it works as expected. But if the user takes some action on the device to unlock or select not my device. Then none of the `START_LOST_MODE` commands work again. Is there a limit to how many times this command can be used? Below is the response I get for GET /operation for the issue command. { "name": "enterprises/LC02ot****/devices/3e4aa95e427****/operations/1701195873812", "metadata": { "@type": "type.googleapis.com/google.android.devicemanagement.v1.Command", "type": "START_LOST_MODE", "createTime": "2023-11-28T18:24:33.812Z", "duration": "3600s", "userName": "enterprises/LC02ot****/users/10750409941529692****", "startLostModeParams": { "lostStreetAddress"

Hi,We have a requirement to force few users to reset passcode. I have tried with https://developers.google.com/android/management/reference/rest/v1/enterprises.devices/issueCommand#CommandType and it works fine when we mention the new passcode. I am wondering if there is a way to force users to change passcode without us having to give and store temp passcodes for each user.I am aware that we can do this with password restrictions as part of policy https://developers.google.com/android/management/reference/rest/v1/PasswordRequirements, but is it possible with a one time issue command. Thank you
Hi, Greetings, We want to extract the MDM policy installed in our BYOD Work Profile device (without ADB way). We are using INTUNE as our MDM. any way we can view and export the installed security policy logs from my device ?. Regards,Govi

Hi! We have received emails on this topic for two different Google accounts:https://android-developers.googleblog.com/2023/07/boosting-trust-and-transparency-in-google-play.html The emails ask for an appointment so that a D-U-N-S number, for example, can be entered for the developer account for Google Play. One of the accounts is a normal developer account. There we see an account confirmation dialogue in the Google Play Console. However, we have also received this information for the account that is used in EMM for Android EMM registration. This account only has limited rights to the Play Console to upload internal apps. The account owner is Google itself. (@pfw-dev-acts-prod.google.com.iam.gserviceaccount.com)We are not shown any account confirmation information with this account. Does anyone know whether there is a need for action for accounts that are registered for Android Enterprise in the EMM? RegardsAlex
Hello, does anyone knows when the fold 5 will receive the Android Enterprise Certification? Thanks,
How can I get a new passcode for IT admin?
Our team previously encountered this exact issue with Android 12: https://support.google.com/work/android/thread/119702868/app-in-emm-work-profile-failing-with-android-security-keystoreexception-keystore-not-initialized?hl=en The issue was mitigated on Google's side since Android 12.1, with no further customer reports. However, we are seeing it again on a customer device running Android 14. This is necessary for our app to use the work profile's biometric to authenticate into our app. No other customers (thousands) reported the issue, and we could not reproduce. We confirmed not just our app being affected by this, by checking other apps in the work profile that rely on biometrics, and they also failed to do so. Eventually the customer was able to mitigate by reprovisioning their work profile. May be some bug/edge case during work profile provisioning and keystore availability. Any way we can workaround this programmatically/avoid this high customer friction of re-provis
