Dear Android Enterprise Community, I'm facing an issue that's been giving me quite a headache recently and could use some expert insights to resolve it. I've set up a Pub/Sub system in my project and configured it according to the guidelines. However, I'm encountering problems with notifications and alerts. Specifically, I'm working with a "lost mode" feature where I send an issue command to put a device in lost mode. The issue command works, and the device goes into lost mode as expected. However, the accompanying alerts and notifications are not reflecting or simply not happening. Here are a few key points to consider: - The Pub/Sub system is correctly implemented and configured in my project.- The device is successfully entering lost mode in response to the command.- All the required permissions for notifications and alerts have been set. I've double-checked the documentation, and everything seems to be in order. However, for some reason, the expected notifi

Hello Android Enterprise Community,We at Narbis are working on an integral project involving specialized neurofeedback smart glasses, where device management is crucial. Our aim is to ensure a seamless user experience on Pritom M7 tablets running Android 11, with our specialized app in kiosk mode. Features like QR code enrollment, on-demand updates for our private APK (outside the Play Store), and managed device configurations are pivotal for us.Unfortunately, our application to join the Android Partner Portal was declined and the reason remains unclear.Despite multiple email attempts, we've yet to receive a response. We're reaching out to this knowledgeable community for any insights or support to help expedite our application process. This is of immense importance to our business timeline.Any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated.Thank you,Devon Greco, Narbis
Hi Folks, As there's a limitation to the reception of SMS Broadcast in WorkProfile, I can receive SMS events in Work Profile (only on Samsung devices), and not on any device from other manufacturers. Is it an explicit feature from Samsung or a limitation of other manufacturers? Any kind of help is appreciated. @jasonbayton

Hi folks, I have deployed my app from Google Workspace (on Work Profile), and I have also installed the same app in my Personal Profile. Now that my app has an updated version on Playstore, my App Update Receiver is not working correctly in personal profile. Is it because both profiles have the same app (package name) or something? because OS is supposed to handle this, any kind of help is appreciated. Note: I am testing on Pixel 3a.
I would like to know on which Android devices it is possible to have the multi-user function. Do you know models from Samsung, Xioami, Redmi, OPPO, POCO... that allow it?
Hi Folks, I have the same app installed from Playstore on both profiles (Work Profile and Personal Profile), when I update the app in Personal Profile (from PlayStore) the app (with same package name) in Work Profile also gets updated, also the app update receiver misbehaves. Is there a solution to it as both Profiles should be completely separate and standalone?
Hi, Does anyone have any experience with migration from Soti to intune? What was your experience and how did you do it? Do you have any tips? Best regardsMirza

I'm trying to configure Gmail via managed configuration. I discovered that inside the apk there is a bool restriction "allow_unmanaged_accounts" (Allow Unmanaged Accounts), but it is not mentioned in the documentation (https://support.google.com/work/android/answer/7065453?sjid=7171601269613811155-EU).Setting the value does not affect the operation of the application in any way.I would like to understand whether this limitation is supported or not?

We have rugged operational devices from various OEMs that we use for specific purposes to run the business - and we put our own internally developed business apps that we need on the devices. Those are the only apps that an end user ever opens, and, we usually have a specific Launcher in place. We don't usually look too much at the "consumer" type apps that come installed with Android on the device, normally. (calculator, clock, gmail, google TV, etc.) However with the recent news about Chrome vulnerabilities coming out, we have started to look at this again. I am curious how others are dealing with this situation - do you update these other apps on your rugged devices, even if they are never used? Do you remove them? If you do update them, how do you do it? Does it happen automatically without intervention, or do you need to add them in as managed apps to whatever MDM you are using? What we see is, without taking any actio
Hi everyone, We are using Google management API and using AE to manage devices, we need to use the Gmail to let user access to their email, however, if we enable user to add their account (use the "modify account enabled API', actually they can also access to a normal Google play store, even we set the play store mode to whitelist, they just need to select their own Google account in the store, then the store mode will be a normal mode So it seems this is a paradox1 If I do not let them add their account, they can't access to Google play store in normal mode, but they can't add account to access Gmail either2 If I let them add their account, they can add account to access Gmail, but also they can access to Google play store in normal mode, which is we don't want this happen I also see some configuration template in the Gmail when I want to deploy it via policy, but it seems a bit more complicated, is there any way I can find some reference? Thank you very much
Hi all,has anyone been able to force fully managed devices to use 3 button navigation instead of gesture mode which is very painfull (since Android is forcing this) in many admin cases?Could be also be an intent if available. Our vendor of the devices tried to integrate that into their OEM config app but (as they told us) Google restricted that, so we ended up to do this manually on every single device.Maybe @Lizzie you know someone to ask about that?
We have a use case where we use Android devices that are corporate-owned but also personally-enabled. Within our ogranisation, we want the capability to trace and block apps. However, this is currently not possible because the apps are installed in the private section. Is there a way to achieve this in the private section? We are using Microsoft Intune as our MDM (Mobile Device Management) environment.
we have an app that requires to set 'Allow all the time' for location permission. We are using Intune MDM and the android 13 enrolled device are using the enrolment of android enterprise corporate-owned fully managed and corporate-owned with work profile. In Intune, there is app config and I set both location auto grant and deploy to the devices. After the app config is deployed successfully to the device, I checked the location permission for the app is still 'don't allow' Then I launch the app to accept the location permission prompt to select 'allow only while using the app'. However, the user is still able to change location permission for the app. Question is this by design that user is able to change the location permission of an app even it is set as auto grant in MDM? Is there a way or is it by design that google does not allow MDM to set 'allow all the time' for an app location permission and it needs to
Is it possible to link multiple resellers to Zero Touch portal? We have users based in the UK, Australia, India and the devices are supplied by different rseller in each country. Can we link them all to the Zero touch so all devices can be managed the same way?
Hello,I am having an issue with contacts from my work profile not being recognized when I have an incoming call, the notification is showing the phone number, but as soon as I pick up the contact name shows up. Calls history also displays the contact name.I am using my personal phone (aosp android 13) as a work phone, with two sim cards and a work profile linked to an enterprise google account. Both profile have Google contacts and dialer apps installed, with the "Identify callers numbers" option turned on. Gave all the permissions I could to both apps, but this hasn't fixed it. Any suggestion ?
Hi everyone, We are using MS Intune to manage our Android devices. The Security patch level data on our Android BYOD enrolled devices seems to be blank on all devices as they do a new sync via Company portal app. It seems like this has all happened in the last few days.Any other MS Intune customers seen this behavior last days? This is very critical to our device compliance.Currently we have a little over 3000 devices enrolled in BYOD mode, and patch info is now missing for about 2/3 of them. On some of our devices where we still saw the info, we did a check device settings in the company portal, and then the info went away. This was with Company Portal version 5.0.5981.0. First guess was that some change to company portal app was causing this issue. There are a lot of devices with recent contact time that still show patch info now, but not sure what CP version is on them.thanksJarmo
I have COPE setup with Intune and getting an error when opening the native Samsung messages app (work profile). The app does not open and only encounters the following error: messages can only be used by the owner of the device. This Google article states that it should work by sending through the default sms app in personal profile. Has anyone come across this?
