I have implemented a function in my Android app to set Brave browser as the default browser using the provided code snippet. However, when I click on a link, it still opens in Chrome instead of Brave. Could you please review the code snippet below and let me know if there's anything I am doing wrong? private fun setBraveAsDefaultBrowser() {val filter = IntentFilter(Intent.ACTION_VIEW)filter.addCategory(Intent.CATEGORY_BROWSABLE)filter.addDataScheme("http")filter.addDataScheme("https") val defaultBrowser: ComponentName = packageManager.getLaunchIntentForPackage("com.brave.browser")?.component ?: return dpm.addPersistentPreferredActivity(AdminReceiver.componentName,filter,defaultBrowser)}I have used addPersistentPreferredActivity()
We are using Intune to manage our devices and have configured a Managed Goole instance for applications.Problem is that no apps what so ever is visible in the managed play store on the users devices. When I open the managed play store it just says found no results as if no apps were published. If I search for lets say Outlook. then I can see the Outlook applicationin the search result. Applications that are set to required on devices are installed just fine. Tried several device, both physical and virtual with the same result. Also tried various ways to enroll and administrate the devicesAny tips or suggestions?
Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. As a good way to kickstart our conversation in the community, I thought a poll on Android would be fun! Think back to when you first started using an Android device, perhaps this was many years ago, perhaps only a few weeks and select below whether this is for personal use, work use or both. Alternatively, if you don't currently use an Android device and you are interested you can also take part. After a good amount of time I'll share the results. Please select your choice in the poll below. Also, to add a bit of detail about the device, just click 'reply' and add a comment. Loading… Looking forward to seeing your responses. Thanks, Lizzie
Hey everyone, I hope you are doing well. When it comes to finding the right solution for your business, what devices you choose is an important decision. Every business has their own needs and requirements, and it can be a time consuming task. It's also likely that you have to adapt your devices as your needs change or devices come to the end of their current life within your company. With this in mind, I wanted to ask you: What factors are important to you when choosing a device? Is there particular information about a device you are keen to know? What would be your tips for people looking to select devices for the first time? Perhaps you need devices that work in harsh conditions or tablets that double-up as a kiosk. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts below. Thank you, Lizzie
Hi everyone,One of my colleague encounters an issue that when using the Gmail app, it shows the app stops running and crashed, but if we don't enroll the device into Android Enterprise, it can work properly, so is there any settings we can do? Hi Folks,I am focused on to auto-launch my app upon installation when deployed from MDMs, to set up and sync with servers. But I can not find a way to do so.I am curious if there is any way to achieve this by any exclusive support for auto-launch by Android Enterprise programmatically. A few MDMs provide this auto-launch feature.Any kind of help is appreciated. Thanks.
I have a 2019 Harley Ultra Limited with a Boom GTS touchscreen radio. I recently installed an update that now allows Android Auto IF I AM CONNECTED VIA USB CABLE. My phone will work on other radios wirelessly, but won't work on the Harley. Is there something else I have to install to make this work? It used to work wirelessly on my 2018 Grand Cherokee, but won't work on my 2022 Grand Cherokee? That's weird.Any ideas?
For Android phones/tablets our resellers are registering them in the Android Zero Touch Portal which is configured to point them to enrol into Google Workspace MDM.When theses devices enrol and show up in Workspace they still show as User Owned and you have to upload a CSV of serials to switch them to show as Company Owned which is a manual task, why.....is it still 1998?Anyway to automate this, seems very backward to have to download serials from ZeroTouch Portal, edit the file to the correct format and then upload the CSV in the Workspace MDM to have the device show as Company Owned. Also seems further backwards when iPhones in ABM using Workspace MDM automatically show as Company owned.
Hi,One of my apps was suspended because of copyright infringement on the title of the app. So can I publish the same app under another package name because the old one is no longer accessible on Google Play ?
