Celebrating 10 years of Android Enterprise and 2 years of our Community!

Hey everyone, 

 

Today is officially the 2nd birthday of the community 🥳🎂🎊 

 

It coincides with the 10 year anniversary of Android Enterprise, which we are celebrating here. 

 

With birthdays and milestones all around, let’s take the time to reflect on the past 2 years…

 

Firstly, thank you to every single one of you for being here and making this community…well…a community, a safe space on the internet to share your thoughts, ideas, opinions but also to ask your questions and to mingle with other Android Enterprise experts. 

 

It might sound cheesy but, without you, there would simply be no community! 

 

A great example of this would be all the feedback you’ve shared and discussed:

 

  • You’ve also influenced Product - like with the Google Play Protect where your feedback led to change with the way unknown apps are uploaded to the Google servers. As well as, the many Zero-Touch ideas you suggested (Audit logs / customer portal / flexible admin controls) . Not forgetting many of you have also taken part in early access/trusted tester programs. 

 

Secondly, this community is very much yours and we love nothing more but to see you help and share your experiences/stories with each other out, get your heads together to figure out the best answer and share your knowledge with all the other members!

We also must mention other amazing developments that leave us very excited for what the future has to bring:

 

 

 

  • Our first ever watchparty where we got together to watch the Android Show:I/O edition and discuss the highlights as they got announced. 

 

To celebrate, we’d like to ask you to share your highlights and your memories!

    Hey everyone,

     

    I just want to add my personal thanks here - it feels like 5 minutes since we launched the Customer Community and there are so many amazing things that I feel we have achieved already together. It's an absolute joy to speak with you all here and hear about all of your stories and creative/variety of ways you are using Android. 

     

    I'd like to add to the above and give an extra special shoutout to our most active contributors here in the community Moombas​, Alex_Muc​, Michel​, jasonbayton​, jeremy​, mattdermody​, jarmo_akkanen​, Rakib​, Flo​, Yann_ROLAND​ - you've contributed so much to the life of the community here. Massive thank you for all your time and effort, and amazing discussions. And thank you to everyone who regularly contributes.

     

    I'd also love to thank everyone who has taken the time to join early access/trusted tester program for products such as Zero-touch customer portal and the new sign-up flow.  As well as MichalMMac​ and okmick​ for taking the time to be part in a community research session. 

     

    One last thing, our Product and wider Android Enterprise team get excited to hear about that feedback, experiences and challenges you share, so thank you for this and here is to the years ahead. Together we are pushing the product forward. Where will we go next? 😀 It would be great to hear what you've enjoyed most in the community and what you'd like to see more of (or even your favourite Android Enterprise moments from over the past 10 years).

      I think from my side nothing special to mention except the PE event(s) or Café things (even I'm sadly not able to participate most of them).
      But in general it's always good to see if we see that we were able to help someone and still looking forward to many changes to be made regarding AE into the right direction ;)
