⏳ Update 1: New Ways to Navigate the AI Era with Google's Enterprise Platforms

  • Automating workflows for employees in Chrome: Introducing auto browse in Gemini to seamlessly automate complex web tasks (like booking travel or CRM data entry), and Skills, which allow teams to save, reuse, and share custom AI workflows.
Availability: auto browse can be enabled by policy in the US for qualified Workspace SKUs (Google AI Pro for Education, Gemini Education Premium, Business Plus, Business Standard, Enterprise Plus, Enterprise Standard, AI Ultra Access, AI Expanded Access)
  • Securing AI without compromise: Advanced Shadow AI detection via the new GenAI and SaaS app report helps IT identify risky behavior and manage unsanctioned AI tools.
  • Simplifying IT management: The Admin console now features a "Gemini Summary" for Chrome Enterprise release notes, alongside new mobile download protections and Android XR device management.
  • Expanding security integrations: Major partner updates include Device Bound Session Credentials (DBSC) with Okta, automated extension blocking via Spin.Ai and LayerX, and native Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) integration for DLP policies.

You can read the full technical breakdown on the Cloud Blog.

⏳ Update 2: The Agentic Enterprise and Agentic Defense

As Google Cloud Next wraps up, a major focus has been placed on securing the shift toward an "agentic enterprise." Key security highlights include:

  • Agentic Defense: A new cybersecurity platform combining Google's Threat Intelligence and Security Operations with Wiz's Cloud and AI Security Platform to autonomously detect, prevent, and respond to threats.
  • Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform: Equips IT admins with a hardened Agent Sandbox for safe browser-based automation without risking host systems.
  • Agent Security Dashboard: Powered by Security Command Center, this automates vulnerability discovery and unifies threat detection for internal AI tools.
