The Google Play tool does not appear on some Chromebooks in our organization.
All settings are configured correctly in the OU. Some machines in the same OU receive the tool, while others do not.

    Hi @gtjensen

To help isolate the issue, could you check if any of your impacted Chromebooks are marked with an asterisk (*) next to their support date on our Auto Update Policy List?

If they are, it means these models are eligible for Extended Updates. This option extends the support lifespan of the device to a total of 10 years for security, performance, and stability patches .

However, there is an important technical trade-off to keep in mind: to maintain system performance and security, devices running Extended Updates will no longer support Android apps or the Google Play Store. If you or your users opt into this, the system will automatically remove the Play Store and erase local Android app data .

You can read a complete breakdown of how this feature works and what to expect here:
    👉 Extended Updates Support Details

If your impacted Chromebooks are not running on Extended Updates,  your best path forward is to submit a support case directly with our Technical Support team for an environment-specific investigation.

Please keep us updated on how you get on!
