New to the community? Introduce yourself here...

Hi everyone,

My name is Lynda and I am the Community Manager here in the ChromeOS Customer Community.

You know how sometimes in meetings, we go around and share a "fun fact" about ourselves? If you're anything like me, you might spend those precious moments before it's your turn frantically searching your brain for something halfway interesting to say. Well, good news! You can relax, because we're not putting you on the spot like that here. There's no need to panic or scour your memory – we're taking a different approach!

So, in your own time, just take a moment...😀

It's really nice in a community to get to know eachother and it would be fantastic to hear from you!

I'll kick us off:

  • I've been working in enterprise tech for the last 15 years.
  • I'm a big fan of music, arts and crafts and getting out in the fresh air!
  • I’m from Ireland originally but currently live in the UK.

Please share a few facts about yourself, (here are a couple of ideas):

  • What type of industry do you work in?
  • Which country you are based in?
  • Hobbies or interests?
  • Favourite / couldn't live with out piece of tech?

Looking forward to speaking with you.

Thanks,

Lynda

    Hi Everyone!

I'm Phil, I work for a ecommerce fulfilment company that holds stock for clients and picks, packs & ships from various online platforms.
We cover multi industries, cosmetics, health & beauty, pet, fassion, electronics, food and drinks, games etc. Our WMS system is completely bespoke and coded from scratch in-house by a team of fantastic developers.

We are based in Northampton (UK) but have several fulfilment centres across the globe. I look after the hardware for the UK including our ChromeOS estate & mobile devices... and anything else with a switch or button on!!

I really enjoy live music and enjoy going to as many live gigs as possible. The last gig I went to was to see Ed Sheeran for my partners birthday. I also enjoy cycling both on and off road.

My favourite piece of tech that I couldnt live without has to be my air fryer!! Sad as it may sound I am very new to the air fryer scene and they are absolute game changers!! 🤣🍔

Looking forward to collaborating with you!

    Phil

Hi itsJustPhil Great to have you on board! Really interesting to hear about your setup and organisation.

I have yet to jump on the air fryer train but I have heard that it's revolutionary and I am not saying that in sarcasm. We are getting our kitchen done soon and once that's sorted I am hoping for a spot on the counter for an air fryer to hold pride of place! 🤭

    Hi all,

Liam here 👋. I look after all things Google Workspace, Chrome browser and chromeOS at DPD UK, which as the name suggests put's me based in the UK.

I've been in IT for coming up to 5 years, with most of my professional career spent in Learning & Development; specifically Digital Learning.

I'm a big football fan, but mostly only ever watch on TV these days with most of my time outside of work spent with the family.

My claim to fame is featuring in The Wall Street Journal last year talking about our Chrome Enterprise experience.

Going to upset Lynda and the Googlers (sorry guys!) with my couldn't live without piece of tech - my iPhone.

Feel free to reach out for any chat about Workspace, Chrome browser or chromeOS.

    Hello everyone,

My name is Chris, and I'm excited to join this community. I'm based in the UK, currently living in Glasgow and have been working in IT for around 15 years. I got my start in IT with a managed service provider, where I spent a lot of time getting hands-on with various systems and helping a wide range of clients. It was a great way to build a solid foundation and learn to think on my feet.

Since 2020, I've moved into the enterprise world, working for a large organisation that provides security solutions and facilities management services globally. It's been a shift from the fast-paced MSP environment, but I've really enjoyed the challenge of focusing on larger-scale, more complex infrastructure.

When I'm not diving into the latest tech, you'll probably find me unwinding by watching a good film or spending time with my friends, family, and my cat, Mollie 😺

On the tech side of things, I'd have a tough time living without my PlayStation 5 and my mobile phone. The PS5 is my go-to for some downtime gaming, and my phone is the essential hub that keeps me connected to everything.

I'm looking forward to connecting with you all and learning from the diverse experiences here!

    Good Morning from Arabia!

My name is Matt, a Canadian living in Dubai.  I've been here for about 10 years and consider it my home : ) I've worked across many sectors now focusing on education for individuals with complex/special needs.  My main interest is in devices and sensors (with supporting platforms) that can help improve living standards and make work safer for those in high risk environments.

I've spend my freetime, swimming, biking and running.  I love to cook for others when I have the chance, listen to music and not talk about gadgets : )

I'm pretty new to tech, so go easy on me...

    Glad to be here,

    M
