Factory reset protection (FRP) or enterprise factory reset protection (EFRP).

Hello, since Android 15 we have encountered a huge problem with Corporate phones (enrolled in BYOD) for which users leave the company without deleting their account. We therefore found ourselves with locked phones that we cannot return to our reseller (who asks us for a large sum to unlock them) so I come to you to find a solution or a tool available to the technical teams to clean up. We are open to any advice or help

    Hey FabienMagras​ 

     

    First question : why do you choose BYOD with Android Devices instead of COPE ? I agree with Jeremy, no EMM can bypass FRP with BYOD.

     

    You have to know, with Android 15 and later, FRP is active when the device is accidently reset even with full managed device. Like you use Omnissa WSP1, i think you will be able to bypass the FRP with Amapi in COPE.

    We are full GOOGLE pixel 7a, 8a and 9a. we have some Samsung also but not a lot

      As these devices are enrolled as BYOD devices they are considered personal phone, so that's probably why you now have these issues. Only a reseller or Google (Pixel) support would be able to unlock those. To prevent this you should enroll those devices as corporate devices (with or without Work Profile) in the future.

    Hi,

     

    I've heard this a lot the past few weeks. What brand do you have? 

     

    Some brands offer solutions for this, for Samsung you can go to a service center to get this fixed if you can show proof of purchase. But Samsung charges money for this as well.
