[Community Feedback] About our latest watchparty

Hey everyone,

As you may know we hosted our second community watchparty for the Made By Google 2025 event, thank you to those who came. If you missed the event, you can catch-up here, or read the blog articles directly.

It would be great to hear which features/products you are most interested in - so feel free to share below.

In addition to this, we’d love to hear about any future relevant events you’d like to have a community watch party for. Please do share your ideas below.

Finally, we are looking at the way the community features work for events like this, we know the current setup isn’t as smooth as we’d like and although we can’t promise this straightaway, it would be great to get your wish list of how you’d like the event page to work better.

Looking forward to your feedback and ideas!

Thanks,

Emilie & Lizzie

    Hi Emilie_B,

so thinks I'm interested in are quite clear i guess:

    • everything Android (Enterprise) OS related
      • also API related changes for MDM's (in my opinion ALL default settings should be accessible here for the MDM's depending on enrollment type and everything special then in the OEM config apps)
      • Changes to the OS (and if they will impact AE or even manageable)
      • ...
    • everything Android Enterprise Tools (ZTP, ZTE,...) related (new ones and updates to old ones)
    • everything Community related (means new sections available like FR section or so)
    • Roadmaps for all of these
    • changes/enhancements for managed app config if further developed
      • maybe also changes related to Google apps (so enhancement of their managed app configs). In my opinion, every option an app has, should be configureable via managed app config.

Hmm, not sure if i got them all but those are the ones i have in mind right now.

Thank you for listing the things you've got a strong interest in Moombas - it's super helpful for us to know! I'll share it with other teams as well 😉

I was wondering if you had any ideas specific to our watchparties. I don't think you've attended one yet but, we basically watch the livestream of an event together and have a conversation in the comments.

We're trying to get an understanding of what live events the members would like us to watch together.

We're also after ideas on how to make the experience more enjoyable. For example, maybe we could look at moving the comments to a private messaging group or watch the livestream on another platform.

I'll tag our previous attendees to see if they can share ideas too jasonbayton, Michel, mattdermody, Alex_Muc, Rakib

        Everything Android Enterprise new functionality!

I want to talk to the product teams, what are they working on. Ideas they want to talk to us about, marked research anything related to new functionality, we can help them prioritize.

I am not interested to watching Jimmy Fallon in any capacity, except maybe in SNL.

You know what this highlights Emilie_B .. there's no "made by Google" for AE. Most of the above I would echo, but without a public version of something like the partner summit for AE features.. there are no watch parties to watch.

On features, real-time loading of comments and replies. It's too janky now and reloading constantly interrupts the video.

It's probably too far-fetched to suggest integrating a chat (like the old phpbb forums, and others) but something closer to that would be cool.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, jasonbayton

There are not a lot of Android Enterprise-dedicated events at the moment.

However, there are other events, announcements and livestreams we could watch together: new devices are announced regularly, as well as new features.

With time, and members' enthusiasm, maybe we can advocate for an Android Enterprise event in the future 😉

A live chat would be great, indeed (and an option we're looking at!) - there's definitely more to be done and we're working on it!

I have nothing to add, everyone mentioned the most important things. And I fully agree with jasonbayton , would be a nice addition as well.
