The next evolution: Googlebook
Since 2011, ChromeOS has been built to provide fast, secure, and easily manageable computing for organizations worldwide. To expand on this foundation, we have introduced Googlebooks - a new line of devices designed to offer greater versatility and integrated Google AI and Gemini features.
To enable these capabilities, we are combining the strengths of ChromeOS and the Android technology stack. This unified architecture supports:
- Native application support and intelligent productivity tools.
- Seamless cross-device continuity and tighter integration between your mobile and laptop environments.
- The full preservation of core Chromebook principles—security, simplicity, speed, shareability, and ease of management.

While Googlebooks are making their initial debut for consumer users, our commercial roadmap is structured along a deliberate, multi-year transition timeline:
