Hey all, We introduced Cameyo by Google in the community as a way to help organisations bridge the gap between legacy applications and a more modern, web-first environment on ChromeOS. For many teams, legacy or Windows-based apps are still critical — whether it’s a small number of specialised tools or applications that are deeply embedded in day-to-day workflows. Finding ways to support those apps securely, without adding complexity or friction for users, is often a big part of the puzzle. I’d love to open this up to the community: What would “success” look like for you when it comes to running these apps on ChromeOS in your environment? We’ve already seen members sharing thoughtful questions and praise following recent Cameyo events. To keep that conversation going, we have a series of upcoming webinars that explore Cameyo from different angles — from an initial overview, to a deeper look at security and infrastructure, and finally how it integrates with Chrome Enterprise Premium. These sessions are a good opportunity to dig further into real-world considerations and ask the questions that matter most to your setup: Feb 4 Introducing Cameyo: Launch Your Legacy Apps into the Modern Era Feb 25 Cameyo: Security & Infrastructure Deep Dive Mar 18 Cameyo: Chrome Enterprise Premium Integration Whether you’re already exploring Cameyo or just starting to think about how to tackle legacy apps, it’d be great to hear your perspectives and experiences.3Views0likes0CommentsCameyo: Chrome Enterprise Premium integration
Join the ChromeOS Customer Community for an advanced technical deep dive into the integration of Cameyo and Chrome Enterprise Premium (CEP). While Cameyo delivers the applications you need, Chrome Enterprise Premium provides the sophisticated security layer required to protect them in a modern, cloud-first world. The Power of the Duo As enterprises move toward a Zero Trust architecture, the perimeter is no longer the office wall—it is the browser. By combining Cameyo’s Virtual Application Delivery (VAD) with Chrome Enterprise Premium’s advanced security capabilities, organizations can achieve a level of granular control and data protection that was previously impossible with traditional VDI. What You Will Learn In this session, we will move beyond basic deployment to explore how to build a high-security, context-aware application environment: Context-Aware Access (CAA): Learn how to define granular access levels based on the user's identity, device health, and geographic location. Ensure that your critical Windows apps are only accessible when the specific security "context" is met. Advanced Data Loss Prevention (DLP): See how to prevent sensitive data from leaving your virtualized applications. We will demonstrate how to restrict printing, clipboard functions (copy/paste), and file uploads/downloads based on real-time threat intelligence. Threat & Data Protection: Understand how CEP’s deep scanning capabilities work alongside Cameyo to protect against malware and phishing, ensuring that even legacy applications remain shielded from modern web-based threats. Unified Management: Discover how to manage these advanced security policies directly from the Google Admin console, creating a frictionless experience for IT administrators and end-users alike. Who should attend? This session is designed for IT Decision Makers, Security Architects, and ChromeOS Administrators looking to harden their application delivery pipeline and maximize their investment in Chrome Enterprise. Register today to learn how to turn your virtualized application environment into a secure, context-aware powerhouse with Cameyo and Chrome Enterprise Premium.95Views0likes0CommentsCameyo: Security & Infrastructure Deep Dive
Join the ChromeOS Customer Community for an advanced technical session focused on the robust security framework and infrastructure that powers Cameyo. As organizations move away from traditional VPNs and legacy VDI, understanding the "how" behind secure application delivery is critical for modern enterprise protection. Why Security Matters In a world of evolving cyber threats, simply delivering an application isn't enough—it must be done without expanding your attack surface. Cameyo’s Zero-Trust architecture ensures that your internal network remains invisible to the public internet while providing users with the high-performance access they need. This session moves beyond the basics to explore the "hardened" core of Virtual Application Delivery (VAD). What You Will Learn In this deep dive, we will peel back the layers of Cameyo’s infrastructure to show you how to build a resilient, "un-hackable" application environment: Port Shield Technology: Learn how Cameyo’s proprietary Port Shield automatically closes all RDP and HTTP ports, opening them only for authenticated users on a per-session basis to eliminate automated brute-force attacks. Cloud Tunneling & No-VPN Access: Discover how to provide secure, encrypted access to internal resources without the latency, cost, or security risks associated with maintaining a corporate VPN. Non-Persistent Security: Explore the benefits of Temporary User Profiles, which ensure that every session starts from a clean state and all user data is wiped upon logout, preventing malware persistence and profile bloat. Infrastructure Elasticity: See how Cameyo handles complex identity provider (IdP) integration, multi-cloud global load balancing, and automated scaling to keep your infrastructure lean and secure. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from the architects behind the platform. Whether you are a security officer, a network admin, or a ChromeOS enthusiast, this session will provide the technical blueprint for a more secure enterprise.
