Hey everyone, I hope you've had a lovely weekend. Just wanted to let you know that I will be away for a couple of days this week. I'm crossing my fingers and toes, but the UK weather is actually looking quite bright and sunny so I'm off for an ice-cream at the beach and to maybe get some surfing in if the surfing gods are with me! I'm leaving you in safe hands whilst I'm away, @Emilie_B will be here, so if you need anything please do @ mention her or send her a DM. We have another busy week of content this week, so keep any eye out for that. If you missed it last week we celebrated our 2nd community birthday (it would be great to hear from you on that post) and also we shared Feature Drop (Android 16) 🎉 last week too. Plus, I love this new post by @Alex_Muc with a tutorial on making Sushi - so your plans for the weekend are already sorted! 😀 In the meantime, I hope you have a great week an

I hope you're all doing well! I run a blog centered around Collectible Items , and I'm considering expanding my reach by creating an Android app. The goal is to make it easier for users to access the latest posts, news, and discussions on collectibles directly from their smartphones.I would love to get suggestions or guidance on how to proceed with creating an Android app for my website. Specifically, I am looking for:Recommendations on the best tools or platforms for building an Android app for a blog-based website.Insights on integrating my WordPress site into the app for seamless content syncing.Best practices for designing a user-friendly app for a community-based blog.Any tips on monetizing the app (ads, in-app purchases, etc.).If anyone has experience with creating Android apps for blogs or similar projects, your input would be greatly appreciated!Looking forward to your suggestions
Hi everyone! Posted this in the off topic part of the community since my question has absolutely nothing to do with work but more with what I like to do outside office hours. I have a motorcycle which I use to explore Europe, preferably besided the paved roads. Therefore I use an old phone with DMD2 app for navigation purposed. Its an old Nokia 7.2. It was slow when I bought it, and it sloooow now😂. Screen isn't easy to read and its just to small. I'm not enjoying using it and its getting annoying. So i'm in the market for a rugged device and have a short list:Samsung Tab Active 3 or 5Looking for 1000nits brightness, and those don't reach thatPogo connection is a plus over USB-CDMD T865 or DMD T865XPerfect device, but expensive, not sure if I want to spend that kind of money nowRandom cheap tablet such as the HDM T21, or Samsung tab A9 with a rugged caseNot dust proof enough, not bright enough, and USb-C charging isn't optimal In my search for a rugged
Hello everyone, I’m pleased to let you know that we have made an upgrade to the Android Enterprise Customer Community. Thank you for all your patience whilst we implemented this. While most of the upgrade is in the backend, if you are reading this message I’m sure you have already noticed an update to the look and layout of the community! 🙂 We've taken the opportunity to implement changes based on the valuable feedback many of you have provided over the past 18 months, since the launch of Customer Community, particularly around finding content and knowing where to post. What’s new? New community board layout: we’ve simplified the navigation and reduced the amount of boards. On the header you will see the main areas: News & info: this hasn’t changed too much, however this now contains the community information and guidelines. Discussions: is a central place to create topics and interact with other members. Share your feedback, quest
Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know that we'll be carrying out an upgrade to the Android Enterprise Customer Community on Tuesday, February 18th: 12pm - 4pm (GMT) / 5:30pm-9:30pm (IST) / 9pm-1am (JST) / 4am-8am (PST) As part of this, the community will be experiencing some down-time and you may see some content moving positions. We are expecting this to last a few hours, starting from 12PM (UK time). We are hoping to keep this to a minimum, so you can be back in the community as soon as possible (but wanted to give an estimated time window above). More about the upgrade: A lot of this will be on the backend. But, we also wanted to use this opportunity to incorporate a lot of the feedback we've received from many of you since the community launched a year and a half ago. 👏 We will be making some refinements to the community board structure with the aim to make it easier for you and others to better navigate and find conversati
Hello everyone, I hope you've all had a restful and enjoyable holiday break. As we step into a new year, I wanted to wish you a very great 2025, both professionally and personally. I also want to thank those of you who contributed to the community in 2024. It was our first full year as the customer community (which feels very strange saying, as it feels so much longer). We've had some fantastic conversations, shared lots of great insights and helped many peers troubleshoot their questions. The feedback shared in 2024 has already made a difference and had an impact, which has been amazing to see. Plus, we've also got to know quite a few new faces here in the community. 🌟 A massive thank you to all of you. I also wanted to do some special shoutouts to: @Moombas, @jasonbayton, @Alex_Muc, @BenMcc, @jeremy, @jarmo_akkanen, @mattdermody, @Timmy, @Michel, @matsm, @Rakib. @weberda,&n

Hello everyone, From Monday 2nd - Friday 6th December, here in the Android Enterprise Customer Community we are hosting our very first community festival to celebrate the end of the year. It's a great way for us all to come together and chat with each other on some interesting topics and articles created by fellow community members. Each day this week, a different community member has agreed to take part and write an article/post on a particular topic of interest for us here in the community. These posts will be on a mixture of subject areas; some Android specific and some tech inspired. How can I get involved? Keep an eye out for all the festival posts throughout this week and please do get involved in conversations, even just to say - great post! 😀 I'm sure all of those creating a topic would love to see your replies. Take a look at the community posts below: 👏 1st day: Highlighting 3 great resour

Hello everyone, I hope you have had a good week. Whether you work in a company office/environment or work from your living room table, perhaps a mix of the two-the space around us is important. A environment that you enjoy being in can greatly impact the amount of time you want to be there for and how you work. Inspired by a conversation with a fellow community member earlier in the week @Alex_Muc, I thought I'd start a discussion for us all to share a little more about our work areas. Perhaps your office building has colourful walls or artwork displays, or on your home desk you have a very nice pot plant! I'll kick us off, I spend a few days in the office during the week and a few days on my living room table! I find I work differently in both. I enjoy my living room table as I have a room that has lots of light flooding in, but I do have to tidy up the table at the end of the day. My office desk, I have a couple of folks to keep me compan

Hi all, I'm looking for Android bot movie files without background to use on a Samsung flip cover. I've designed my own cover face and want to add a moving Android bot. I downloaded one available from the Google branding page (Icon - Partner Marketing Hub), which I converted to multiple png files to create a sequence. Works good enough but is not perfect, and I find them a bit boring to be honest. anyone know of a place where I can find more of these typ of files? Preferably a sequence of PNG files, or a gif without background. But I could work with MP4 of MOV files aswell. Thanks! Michel

Are there any posting guidelines that we need to know about, besides what is in the FAQs? I tried posting something twice, and the system seems to be deleting them, Is it because I am including a screenshot, maybe?
'ello team, Could we look into adopting post reactions, rather than solely "kudos" in line with other forum platforms and chat services? Secondly and unrelated, is it possible to enable markdown support for the WYSIWYG post editor please?
Hello! MWC '24 wrapped up last week, and I thought I'd put together a few key takeaways of the event. I shan't go too deep, but of course you're welcome to query any aspect of the event and if I spent time looking at it, I'll gladly answer 🙂 Innovation galore From HMD's Fusion devkit to Lenovo's transparent-screened laptop, MWC is always guaranteed to see the latest and greatest the ecosystem has to offer. There were a few products in the Android world that caught my eye - TCL I was particularly fond of TCL's new Nxtpaper products featuring version 3.0 of their technology, as it so incredibly bridges the gap between modern display requirements and that of e-ink. The displays were responsive, easy on the eyes, and bring with them the added benefit of a natural writing feel, if you're the type who likes to scribble on their devices 🙂 Lenovo/Moto Though not Android per-se, Lenovo's fully transparent laptop display con
Hey all! Depending on whether I'm traveling domestically or internationally, using my device always comes with its set of challenges. I still find myself grappling with spotty network connections or data shortages, especially when on a train. One of my main concerns is ensuring I have reliable connectivity for scheduled meetings while on the move. There's always that worry that poor signal might prevent me from joining or engaging with presenters during the call. What are some of your biggest challenges and potentially ways you have overcome these when using your phone whilst traveling?. Thanks Reece
