Hi everyone,One thing we've always wanted for this community is for it to feel genuinely open to everyone, regardless of where you're based or what language you work in day to day. Our communities (Android Enterprise, ChromeOS + Cameyo and Chrome Enterprise) are a global space, and the conversations happening here shouldn't be gated by language. So we're really pleased to share that we're rolling out Community post translations (powered by Gemini) across our Customer Communities as a first step toward making that a reality. Currently we support translations in English, Dutch, German, French, Portuguese, Portuguese (BR), Spanish, and Italian. If you’d like additional languages added please let us know! The feature allows you to translate a post (or the whole thread) into one of the languages mentioned above. Simply click the “AI Translate All” on the original post or “AI Translate” on an individual reply and choose the language you’d like and let Gemini do the rest. We've also done our h
Hey everyone, Just a quick note to let you know I'll be out of office from 20th July and back on 27th July. I'm heading to Verbier in Switzerland with my brother, so if all goes to plan I'll be back with some good stories (and hopefully all my limbs intact). While I'm away, the community is in very safe hands. @Rafa from the ChromeOS and Chrome Enterprise side will be keeping an eye on things, and @Lizzie will also be around if anything needs her attention. Any posts or messages will be picked up as soon as I'm back. Take care, and speak soon!Kirk
Hi everyone,We've seen a few threads pop up recently from potential partners or developers looking for help with Android Management API (AMAPI) device quota requests. It is understandable that you would like to get more information on this, and see the Customer Community as a way to do this, however in order to ensure that the community remains a useful resource for customers setting up and managing Android devices, plus to hopefully direct you towards the information you need, we’ve provided some additional guidance on this areas below: For context, all initial AMAPI quota requests go through a compliance review in line with our Permissible Usage Policies. That process sits entirely with the internal policy team.As a result of this, here are a few things worth knowing:I’ve hit the AMAPI quota level and I’m not sure where to request an increase? There's one dedicated supported channel for developers. If you're a developer looking for support on a quota request, this form is the right pla
Hello everyone, I hope you are well. As some of you already know, we have a slight change in the community team. We have recently bid farewell to Emilie and wish her the very best in her future endeavors. On a brighter note, I wanted to introduce our new Community Manager, Kirk. I know he is eager to get to know everyone, so please join me in giving him a warm welcome to the community. 👏👏👏Alongside me, you will see @Kirk around the community, especially within the Android Enterprise area. If you have any questions or simply want to say hello, feel free to @ mention or DM either of us.Thanks so much,Lizzie
The Community is a great place for IT admins and business professionals to connect, ask questions, and learn from one another. To make sure you don't miss out on important discussions or announcements, you can customize your notification settings to stay up-to-date. How to get tailored notifications To get notifications for new posts, navigate to the community and category/section you're interested in. Use the top-level navigation to choose your community - Android Enterprise, ChromeOS or Chrome Enterprise - and the drop-down menus to select the right category/section. On the category/section page you will see a ‘Subscribe’ button. This focused approach helps you stay informed on topics like troubleshooting, best practices, or specific product updates without being overwhelmed by notifications from the entire community. Keep track of your subscriptions To stay on top of which sections you follow, you can review your subscriptions. Head to your Community account settings by selecting
Our Best Answer feature helps other community members quickly identify the answer that resolved the issue or helped to answer your query. When you accept a solution, topics with the mark show higher in community search ratings, making it easier for others to benefit from it in the future. It's also nice for the responder to know their reply helped you, so consider adding a thank you comment as well. Step 1: Identify the response that best answers the question and click on the "Mark as Best Answer" button located on the right side of that response. Step 2: Besides the tag on the selected reply, once a response is marked as the accepted solution, it will also be highlighted in green, indicating that it has been picked as Best Answer.

You can control in your Settings how often you would like to receive notifications) Have a question, an interesting discussion idea or a feature request: you can create a post and share it here in the community Support others: respond to posts, give kudos to others and share your opinion Lastly, the community is here for our customers. A very warm welcome to our Community Space! This is for everyone setting up, managing and using Android, ChromeOS, Cameyo and Chrome Enterprise for work. This is your space to connect, learn and discuss. About the Android Enterprise Customer CommunityThe Android Enterprise Help Community launched in 2021 (as part of our Help Center) and with the support of a small, but mighty group of Community Product Experts, has helped to answer thousands of member questions. Our mission is to enable the community to explore areas across the Android Enterprise eco-system such as general discussions, creating tips and guides, attending events, providing feedback... and here we are! 😀 About the ChromeOS + Cameyo Customer CommunityOur main goal has always been to build a platform that's simple and secure for work. However we’ve also been passionate about bringing our ChromeOS and Cameyo customers together to share ideas, get creative, and support each other. So, whether you're looking to dive into gen
We’ve carefully designed our Community Space to be simple and intuitive to explore, but we know there may still be moments when you might be wondering where to find what you're looking for. This guide is here to point you in the right direction and help you make the most of all the resources available! Accessing each dedicated Community In the top left corner of the homepage, there is a drop-down menu that will allow you to toggle between either the ChromeOS + Cameyo Customer Community or the Android Enterprise Customer Community or the Chrome Enterprise Customer Community. When you join any of these communities, you’ll automatically have access to all 3. Navigation bar Within each dedicated Community (Android Enterprise, ChromeOS + Cameyo and Chrome Enterprise), you will find a navigation bar at the very top of each homepage. You can search any key words and all the resources we have available will be shared, whether it lives in our communities or in our help centers. You can fil
Hey everyone, We’ve got some exciting news to share: our community is moving to a brand-new space designed to make your experience smoother, clearer, and more connected than ever. Here’s what you can look forward to: Easily readable threads - follow conversations effortlessly, jump back in without losing context, and spend less time scrolling. Common boards with the ChromeOS community - discover shared discussions, insights, and expertise all in one place. A dark mode option - easier on the eyes (especially for those late-day or early-morning check-ins). And more improvements to come, all focused on making collaboration and knowledge-sharing simpler. We will have some downtime in the community while we transition. Fear not! We’ll still be around, the resources will be accessible but the conversations happening between 21st February and 5th March will not be carried over to the new platform. As always, if you have any questions or concern
Hey everyone, I hope you’re doing well and that your year is off to a smooth start! I just wanted to let you know I will be away from the Customer Community from 12th - 16th January; I’ll be back on Monday 19th. @Rafa, the new Community Manager for the ChromeOS Customer Community will be around to help you out if needed - please give him a warm welcome! And @Lizzie will also be around if needed, so I’m leaving you in many capable hands! 😉 I’ll look forward to catching up once I get back. Thanks so much, Emilie
Hey everyone, We’re looking into reports that some community members have reported an issue with their Community inbox - it seems like they can see the notifications for new messages but are unable to access their inbox and their messages (old and new). At the moment, it is only affecting a very small number of members but we wanted to flag this issue - if you are experiencing anything similar, please let us know! We will keep you updated as we work to resolve this issue and we are sorry for the inconvenience! Many thanks for your patience and collaboration, Emilie
Hey everyone, Just a quick heads-up. I’ll be away from the community until the 13th October. I have barely been away from the community this year, so it will be a strange feeling, but nice to have a bit of a break. I will be catching up with some old friends to celebrate a special occasion in Singapore, a place I’ve never been before - so if you have any recommendations please do let me know. Apologies in advance if I'm a bit slow to reply or miss any of your messages. If there is anything that comes up during this time, you are in safe hand @Emilie_B is here and I’m sure she would love to speak with you. Plus, I know you guys are awesome, so the community will be in good hands! Looking forward to catching up when I get back and I hope you have a good week. Thanks so much, Lizzie
Hey everyone, As you may know we hosted our second community watchparty for the Made By Google 2025 event, thank you to those who came. If you missed the event, you can catch-up here, or read the blog articles directly. It would be great to hear which features/products you are most interested in - so feel free to share below. In addition to this, we’d love to hear about any future relevant events you’d like to have a community watch party for. Please do share your ideas below. Finally, we are looking at the way the community features work for events like this, we know the current setup isn’t as smooth as we’d like and although we can’t promise this straightaway, it would be great to get your wish list of how you’d like the event page to work better. Looking forward to your feedback and ideas! Thanks, Emilie & Lizzie
Hello everyone, We're excited to announce a new addition to our community space 🥁: ChromeOS Customer Community!ChromeOS Customer Community will now sit alongside the Android Enterprise Customer Community, offering a dedicated area for ChromeOS discussions, product updates, and information sharing. Why has ChromeOS joined our community platform? Some of the key benefits (a lot based on discussions with community members) are: Shared stakeholders, greater efficiency: Several of you have mentioned that you use Android Enterprise and ChromeOS and so where relevant, we hope by bringing both communities onto a single community platform will help streamline your experience and that of your colleagues. Increasing product synergy: As ChromeOS and Android Enterprise products begin to work together more effectively over the coming years, having both product communities in close proximity allows for easier sharing of insights on integrated solutions, best practices that span both ec
*Updated 14th July, 2025 - this update has now been completed - to read the update, please view here. Thanks for your patience with this. ------- Hey everyone, I hope you are doing well. We have an exciting development to share with you next week. As you might have guessed from the image above, we will be welcoming a new community on to our community platform. The new community will have it's own dedicated community area, discussion boards and content specifically relating to that product area. How will this impact the Android Enterprise Customer Community? You will notice very little change to the Android Enterprise Customer Community. The primary modification will involve a minor adjustment to the community header. We will be adding a new dropdown menu next to the Android logo - enabling swift navigation between the Android Enterprise Customer Community and the new community addition (for those who may want to toggle between the
We're excited to announce an important evolution for our ChromeOS community. To enhance your experience and foster a more dynamic environment, we are hostiing our community on this shared platform alongside the Android Enterprise community. While this move brings our communities closer, it's important to note that the new platform will feature distinct, separate areas for ChromeOS and Android Enterprise discussions. This ensures you'll still find dedicated support and conversations specific to your ChromeOS devices and deployments. So, why the shared space? This strategic decision is driven by a few key benefits: Leveraging superior community management functionality: Quite simply, Android Enterprise are a little further down their road in the building of their Enterprise customer community, and we want to build something similar for ChromeOS. This new platform will provide us with better functionality to grow and evolve the way we want. Increasing product
Hey everyone, How have you all been? These past couple of weeks have flown by so fast - my time off feels like a fever dream 😂 I had a fantastic time, though! I walked a half marathon, for which I had been training for weeks - it was my third time. It is such a fun event and a great way to (re)discover my hometown. I played numerous games of Scrabble with my parents, which is a very nostalgic thing for us to do as my grandma was a big Scrabble buff and used to compete in tournaments. I’m nowhere near as excellent as she was but, practice makes perfect 😜 I also spent time with my friends, eating wonderful Belgian dishes such as vol-au-vent, tomatoes with grey shrimps and, of course, my body weight in frites (aka chips or fries) and chocolate! I also cuddled with my dog, Jax. I took the opportunity to give him his bi-annual bath and that was quite an experience as this boy is not a fan of water. Patience, peanut butter
Hey everyone, I hope you've had a lovely weekend. Just wanted to let you know that I will be away for a couple of days this week. I'm crossing my fingers and toes, but the UK weather is actually looking quite bright and sunny so I'm off for an ice-cream at the beach and to maybe get some surfing in if the surfing gods are with me! I'm leaving you in safe hands whilst I'm away, @Emilie_B will be here, so if you need anything please do @ mention her or send her a DM. We have another busy week of content this week, so keep any eye out for that. If you missed it last week we celebrated our 2nd community birthday (it would be great to hear from you on that post) and also we shared Feature Drop (Android 16) 🎉 last week too. Plus, I love this new post by @Alex_Muc with a tutorial on making Sushi - so your plans for the weekend are already sorted! 😀 In the meantime, I hope you have a great week an
Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I’ll be off for a couple of weeks - I know I’ve only been around for a hot minute but this was booked a while back so, I must leave you and go on holiday 😜 I’ll be hanging with my friends, my folks and this lovely boy (his name is Jax): I will also be stuffing my face with the finest foods Belgium has to offer: chips, chocolate, waffles (from Brussels and Liège), speculoos and grey shrimp croquettes. @Lizzie will be around while I’m away so, you will be in the best hands possible! Feel free to reach out to her with any questions, concerns or even just to have a chat about pizza toppings…Thank you for holding the fort, Lizzie 🫶 And, just like the Terminator, I will be back on June 9th, ready to hop back into all things Android Enterprise 🎊 Chat soon, Emilie
Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well and are having a nice week. I’d like to update you all on some exciting community team news - trumpet fare please! Introducing @Emilie_B , who will be joining me here in the Customer Community team. Emilie will be continuing to help with the smooth running of the community and in making this a great place for you to interact with others and share all things Android related. Please join me in welcoming her here by replying below or when you see her around in the community. Thanks so much, Lizzie
Hello everyone, I’m pleased to let you know that we have made an upgrade to the Android Enterprise Customer Community. Thank you for all your patience whilst we implemented this. While most of the upgrade is in the backend, if you are reading this message I’m sure you have already noticed an update to the look and layout of the community! 🙂 We've taken the opportunity to implement changes based on the valuable feedback many of you have provided over the past 18 months, since the launch of Customer Community, particularly around finding content and knowing where to post. What’s new? New community board layout: we’ve simplified the navigation and reduced the amount of boards. On the header you will see the main areas: News & info: this hasn’t changed too much, however this now contains the community information and guidelines. Discussions: is a central place to create topics and interact with other members. Share your feedback, quest
Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know that we'll be carrying out an upgrade to the Android Enterprise Customer Community on Tuesday, February 18th: 12pm - 4pm (GMT) / 5:30pm-9:30pm (IST) / 9pm-1am (JST) / 4am-8am (PST) As part of this, the community will be experiencing some down-time and you may see some content moving positions. We are expecting this to last a few hours, starting from 12PM (UK time). We are hoping to keep this to a minimum, so you can be back in the community as soon as possible (but wanted to give an estimated time window above). More about the upgrade: A lot of this will be on the backend. But, we also wanted to use this opportunity to incorporate a lot of the feedback we've received from many of you since the community launched a year and a half ago. 👏 We will be making some refinements to the community board structure with the aim to make it easier for you and others to better navigate and find conversati
Hello everyone, I hope you've had a good week. Just to let you know we are currently carrying out some work on the community platform over the weekend and so the community is currently in read-only mode, which means it's not possible to post any new topics or replies. I'll keep you posted, sorry about this. Thanks, Lizzie
Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know that we've updated our FAQ section (found on the Community header) with some new information. This update came straight from suggestions by our awesome Community Product Experts. The new FAQ aims to address many of your questions, support newcomers to Android Enterprise, and serve as a refresher for those looking to relearn. Check it out here and let us know what you think! Big thanks to our PEs @jasonbayton, @jeremy , @Moombas for their help with this update. If you’ve got any other questions you feel should be added to this FAQ (or perhaps you would like to create a post/guide to be included), please suggest below. Cheers, Reece
