We are struggling with some user reports about blocked USB file transfer functionality on their Samsung A52 / A54 devices enrolled with corporate-owned work profile. Microsoft released a blog post about this issue here. Known Issue: Some management settings become permanent on Android 14 - Microsoft Community Hub We stumbled across the one-time hint about "do not upgrade non-Samsung devices to Android 14" in the advisory. Did not find any other information whether Samsung is also affected or not, but as we only have Samsung as corporate devices this seems also to apply to Samsung devices. After factory resetting the device and a fresh enrollment the USB file transfer is working as expected / configured! *15th March: please note: this post has been moved and been made into a new topic and new titleSolved22KViews0likes21CommentsCan’t add work profile
Before I delve into the adb logs, anyone seeing issues enrolling Samsung devices running Android 14? Since a few weeks now, I and a few other users get the error: “Can’t add work profile”. The only way around it is to reset to factory…I did that yesterday and was able to immediately enroll after and today I unenrolled and re-enrolled and got the same error…Solved17KViews1like12CommentsNot able to print from Google Docs
Hi all, we provided Google docs, sheets and slides to our devices. We set managed app config (allow of using printing api and usage without Google account). We noticed now that printing is possible on sheets and slides but not on docs. Is there any known issue rgarding this? I mean I'm a bit confused because it works from the other two. Maybe Lizzie and ReeceK you kno more about that or can ask internally?17KViews0likes36CommentsAndroid 14 - Android Enterprise WiFi Profile Issues - Microsoft Intune
With the latest Android 14 - new Microsoft Intune Android Enterprise device enrollments are not receiving the WiFi configuration profile. Android 13 and later will receive the WiFi profile and connect to the hidden SSID with no issue.12KViews1like10CommentsCopy-paste issue (COPE)
Hello Everyone, I have a slight issue with copy-paste on Corporate owned, personal enabled devices (COPE) managed via Intune. To put it simple - people can copy text from work profile to personal. Happy to be pointed to the basics if I missed something obvious, but I feel stuck. Intune configuration for COPE devices has 2 values: "allow" or "not configured" (not helpful). I had support cases open with Microsoft and Samsung, but former blames OS defaults, while latter blames Intune (not helpful). I couldn't identify the setting in OEMConfig (Knox Service Plugin), so got Google Enterprise account, configured it for Zero Touch enrolment using Intune token and realised that I was looking into "crossProfileCopyPaste" control and don't have a clue how to use it in DPC extras and if that's even possible. Is it possible to use AMAPI with Intune management? If yes, does anyone have any examples? What are other ways to restrict copy-paste from work profile to personal? I find it difficult to believe I'm the only one having the issue. Thank you in advance12KViews1like29CommentsAssistance Needed: Fetching IMEI Number Programmatically in Android
Dear Android Community, I am currently working on an Android application where I need to fetch the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number programmatically. However, I am facing some challenges in implementing this functionality, especially with regards to the latest Android versions and privacy considerations. I am reaching out to seek your expertise and guidance on the best practices to fetch the IMEI number in compliance with the Android security standards. I want to ensure that my application adheres to all the necessary permissions and privacy policies to access this sensitive information. If you have any relevant resources, code examples, or tips on how to retrieve the IMEI number programmatically in Android, I would be extremely grateful for your support.9.6KViews1like5CommentsUnderstanding Automatic Operating system update behaviour
I'm hoping to get a better understanding of the SystemUpdateType policy available for COWP devices, we're currently moving from POWP to COWP for our devices (40K) and are looking to benefit from streamlining as much as possible for our end-users. Looking at the documentation for the SystemUpdateType policy it isn't described as to whether the Automatic update option would force an Operating System update even if the device is in active use (User on a call, App open and in use etc). Does anyone have detailed information as to how the Automatic update option works? I'm hoping to get a reply from a google employee on this if possible. Below is the link to the documentation for anyone interested. https://developers.google.com/android/management/reference/rest/v1/enterprises.policies#systemupdate:~:text=accept%20system%20updates.-,AUTOMATIC,Install%20automatically%20as%20soon%20as%20an%20update%20is%20available.,-WINDOWED Thanks for your help.9.3KViews0likes15CommentsManaged Play Store is empty on devices
We are using Intune to manage our devices and have configured a Managed Goole instance for applications. Problem is that no apps what so ever is visible in the managed play store on the users devices. When I open the managed play store it just says found no results as if no apps were published. If I search for lets say Outlook. then I can see the Outlook applicationin the search result. Applications that are set to required on devices are installed just fine. Tried several device, both physical and virtual with the same result. Also tried various ways to enroll and administrate the devices Any tips or suggestions?8.7KViews0likes9CommentsGoogle Play Recovery Service
Hi, for our markets, we have approximately 550 Honeywell CT30 (Android 11 and 12) devices in use. The devices are registered in Google zero touch and managed by Intune. We noticed that on a few devices, a pushed app is not being installed. The reason is that the Play Store is missing. Instead, there is an app called "Play Store Recovery Service". When we open the app, it says "Please wait, recovering the Play Store...". No matter how long we wait, nothing is happening. Do you have any idea how we can get the Play Store back?8.4KViews0likes4Comments
