We use managed accounts (12345678901234567890@android-for-work.gserviceaccount.com) to provide access to the Managed Playstore, this accounts are assigned to the users or devices, I would like to disable the payment method options for these accounts. The users have no control over that account, most of the time they don't even know the name of the account. there is no password, no way to restore purchases made. When the employee's account is terminated or the device replaced, it creates a problem for purchases made.
I am deploying fully managed work profile through Knox+Intune, after the end user sets Wi-Fi (or uses Mobile Date) and downloads the Knox settings to point to the chosen EMM Provider the prompt below is encountered Normally there used to be "Accept and continue", which led to credentials to 365 and Intune. Now there is "Add account to device", where I can set profile to Work and Personal profiles. And "Use without an account", which leads to 365 and Intune like before. Its very confusing, especially for end users and they also have the ability to exit out of the enrolment process altogether which bypasses the process and reverts to the device home screen Does anyone know, how this can either revert get back to old "Accept and continue" in Welcome to chrome or if not ensure the screen is locked down and can't be exited?
Hi all, With have a Microsoft Intune managed Android Enterprise set up phone where the user is leaving the company and it has been agreed that they can keep the phone as a personal one. It is already been used as such as they are a senior staff member. Obviously we need to remove the device as a company managed device but is it possible to move the account history from the company Gmail account to a personal one so that they can keep their contacts, apps settings etc? I'm doubtful that this is possible but wanted to seek further advice first. Many thanks, David
Hi, I am trying to get AMAPI access, so I can register more than 500 devices. When I applied for an EMM partnership, it got denied, stating, "We would like to let you know that your application to join the Android Partner Portal has been declined.". In the application, I had provided my fresh Google Cloud console project ID. Can someone tell me how to get it approved? My use case is to provide EMM solutions to businesses to manage the devices. @jasonbayton
Hi everyone, I've been facing an issue with the video quality on our enterprise Android devices. Many of our team members need to create high-quality video content for presentations and marketing purposes. However, the built-in video recording and editing apps on these devices are not meeting our standards. The videos often appear grainy and lack the professional touch we need. ****[Text hidden] Has anyone else faced similar issues with video quality on enterprise devices? If so, what solutions have you tried, and how effective were they? Looking forward to your suggestions and experiences. Hi, we are working with multiple resellers across the globe. These days, we had an issue, where some of the Zebra devices were registered to Zero touch, which ended in restart-loop, because they are in SOTI and cannot be in ZT together. So I removed them from ZT, but I want to prevent this situation happening again, so I need to know which reseller registered them and give hime a little "training" what he can and cannot do. I didnt found any way how to see the history in ZT portal. Thank you.

We have previously done more MAM and are moving to allow users on Android to setup the work profile. In testing on Pixel 8 running Android 14 QPR we are seeing significant battery drain from the company portal app. Like so bad that it’s making the devices lag and hot and killing the battery. did we miss something in the config @jasonbayton maybe you have some insights?
Hi all, after registering company for Android Enterprise, to use with our EEM Solution from Sophos we added 10 users (send invitation and confirm/register process). Trying to add the 11th user we get the error: The organization that invited you has no other licenses to add users. Contact your administrator.(translated from german)How/where can we get additional licenses? Thought for Android Enterprise we don't need to buy licenses...of course we have the licenses for the EMM solution from Sophos (Sophos Mobile).Any help appreciated. Thanks, Lutz

We have encountered an issue with our Google Zero Touch Portal where an old customer ID has been incorrectly mapped. This has caused some discrepancies that we need to address promptly. The customer ID in question is no longer in use, and it is critical for our operations to have the correct ID mapped to our portal. We would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.Could you please guide us through the process of updating the customer ID on our Google Zero Touch Portal? We are ready to provide any necessary information or documentation to facilitate this change.Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to your prompt support.
Hi, Apologies for putting this as a generic query. I'm trying to find some answers to below questions regarding the working of GOTA solution. 1) Is GOTA a SaaS solution provided by google where authorized device resellers can create accounts and add customer devices for managing OTA updates?2) Do each reseller (Eg- HMD, Samsung etc.) maintain separate tenant in GOTA or it is just a separate account within one tenant?3) If an organization is already using GOTA services through one reseller (Eg- Samsung), what is the process for setting up GOTA services with a different reseller (HMD)? Once signed-up will the customer devices be maintained in two separate tenants/accounts within GOTA?4) Is there a default behavior for OTA update release on GOTA devices? Will they be blocked from receiving any updates until customer approval or will they receive all updates by default until customer asks the reseller to block a particular update?
How do I set-up and enroll my device and where do I get a code from to create and set-up a work profile
Hi everyone, I recently launched an [*Link hidden] tool and am looking for business and enterprise community feedback. Our tool is designed to provide quick and accurate calculations for various professional needs, and I'm interested in how it can be integrated or used effectively within business environments. Have you used an online calculator tool in your business operations? How does ours compare? Are there any specific features that would make our tool more valuable for business users? What improvements or additional functionalities would you suggest to make the tool more enterprise-friendly? Thank you for your insights and suggestions! *Link hidden in line with the Community Guidelines.

Hello all, I have my business account registered with Android EMM Registration for about 5 years. About a month ago, there was a problem with API connection with an error message 'UNAUTHENTICATED' reason 'CREDENTIALS_MISSING' which impact on device enrollment and app push service. I have no luck finding ways to fix it and I cannot open any support case with my free account. I decided to reconfigure Android EMM Registration with the same account. Google directed me to newly register enterprise account ended up with same account but different 'Client ID' and 'Google Service Account Email Address'. All my apps in private store and previous managed app are missing. Is there any way to bind my email account back to Google Client ID? so I don't have to separate manage apps and devices on my EMM system.Note When I login to Play Work, I still can see my previous 'Client ID' profile. However, on EMM system, it shows my new client profile. Regards,BKP
I am wondering some of customer facing devices reset automatically? Is there any reason behind this? From our customer, we got the following information about this issue.Case one is that the device got shut down due to the charge being finished. after starting the device they found that the device was reseted.Case two is that the device was shut down for one or two months. after starting the device they found that the device was reseted. Thank you so much for your attention and participation in advance.
Dear Community Members, We are currently encountering an issue with the enrollment of three recently acquired Samsung S23 devices. While we are able to successfully enroll other devices, these specific models are presenting a persistent problem. The error message displayed is as follows: "Zero-Touch Registration is not available. Check your internet connection and try again." To address this, we have attempted the following troubleshooting steps:Utilized mobile data from various carriers as well as Wi-Fi connections, yet the error persists.Formatted the devices.Completely removed the devices from the Zero-Touch portal (https://partner.android.com/zerotouch#) and subsequently re-added them.Attempted manual enrollment using the QR Code provided by Intune.Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved. Interestingly, we have successfully enrolled a Samsung XCover 5 without encountering any similar difficulties. We are reaching out to inquire if others in the commu

Hi, I am wondering how often a STATUS_REPORT PubSub message is sent for a device. Is it on a specific cadence? Random? When the device encounters a change (i.e. policy update)? I can't find anything in the PubSub docs (https://developers.google.com/android/management/notifications) although I could be missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
