Happy 3rd Anniversary!
Hey everyone,
This month marks three years of the Android Enterprise Customer Community. 🥳🎂🎊
As someone who joined the team fairly recently, I wasn't around for the first two birthdays, but I've read the posts, heard the stories, and spent the last few months getting to know so many of you. One thing has become very clear: this community is something genuinely special, and it's all of you that make it that way. Thank you.
The past year has been a big one, with over a million visits to our corner of the internet, and we wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of what we've been up to together.
A bigger family
Last July, ChromeOS found a new home here alongside Android Enterprise, and in February this year the Chrome Enterprise community also came onboard as we migrated to our on our new community platform. We're settled in now, and it's already opened up some great cross-product conversations.
A very special shout out
Before anything else, we want to call out some of our top contributors:
Creative community topics
Community Festival 2025 ran in December with another fantastic set of member-written posts, including
We’ve also seen great guides, like
On the Off-topic front, the pizza and sushi guides were an absolute highlight (genuinely, go read these if you missed them) and let us know if you have a favourite food.
The Secure Element podcast kept growing too. Episode 6: Passkeys, in particular, is worth a callout, as it was a direct result of community discussion, thanks to
Meeting in person
Since our last birthday, we’ve held several CAFE events in New York, Paris, Madrid, and, most recently, at Google HQ in London. It’s always a delight to meet in person and have the opportunity to speak to so many of you about your experiences with the product. We’d love to hear if you would be keen to meet us and other community peers in your area.
Your feedback, in the product
This has been a big year for the feedback loop. Zero-touch audit logs and new admin roles both came directly from things raised here. More recently, we've run surveys on AFW# enrollment, app distribution to unmanaged devices, and OS/app rollback, and the response has been brilliant. You’ve also given feedback via our CAFE which we can’t talk about so widely at the moment, but it is shaping what gets built.
Insiders elevating the product
Since launching in September, Android Enterprise Insiders has already become a real hub for conversation, including some great threads on upgrading to Managed Google Domain (which is now in general access) and Desktop mode. If you haven't joined yet and are interested, registration is here.
And on the product side
It's been a packed year, from Device Trust to Android Enterprise arriving on Android XR, a particularly nice one given how many of you fed back on the original announcement. Most recently, Android 17 has landed and there is still much more to come this year.
Here's to year four
I came into this community from the video games industry, which has its own very particular kind of passionate community. This one has that same energy, but with considerably fewer arguments about which character is overpowered. Thank you for making it so easy to want to show up here every day.
What's been your highlight from the past year, in the community or in your own deployment?
Anything you'd love to see more of in year four?
Thanks so much,
Kirk, Lizzie & the Android Enterprise Community Team
