Is there any way to disable Google Play Protect (GPP) during QR code enrollment to avoid blocking an MDM app?
Thanks so much for the ideas and feedback here, jasonbayton it is really useful. I'll certainly share this internally.
Just to come back on your point regarding the 'no customer community announcement'. As you know we frequently highlight product updates here in the community, even more recently sharing some of the AMAPI updates and we put a lot of focus on trying to highlight any product updates that could be impactful or interesting to customers.
I think as this specific change is far more focused/actionable for partners, this is why it was just shared in the Partner Portal. But, we also updated the Help Center so that the information there is as up-to-date as possible for anyone looking for that information.
Thank you again for this feedback here, it is really useful as previously mentioned and it's good to have these types of discussion.

I appreciate you, thank you :)
Custom DPC is.. maybe not prolific.. but popular and only growing as permissible use in AMAPI leads to fewer orgs being able to use it (or being approved to use it). I'm helping two organisations build their own custom DPC solution at the moment: one for AOSP, the other because they were rejected by the AMAPI gatekeepers, and can work without Play based on their use case. Neither would be partners in this case.. both may look to distribute on GMS devices now or in future.
That doesn't even cover the nonstandard use cases like Acurast, or some open source projects I've seen use DO to set devices as dedicated kiosks (a music player comes to mind, but I might be wrong). No partners there.
Thank you!
