Hey all, We introduced Cameyo by Google in the community as a way to help organisations bridge the gap between legacy applications and a more modern, web-first environment on ChromeOS. For many teams, legacy or Windows-based apps are still critical — whether it’s a small number of specialised tools or applications that are deeply embedded in day-to-day workflows. Finding ways to support those apps securely, without adding complexity or friction for users, is often a big part of the puzzle. I’d love to open this up to the community: What would “success” look like for you when it comes to running these apps on ChromeOS in your environment? We’ve already seen members sharing thoughtful questions and praise following recent Cameyo events. To keep that conversation going, we have a series of upcoming webinars that explore Cameyo from different angles — from an initial overview, to a deeper look at security and infrastructure, and finally how it integrates with Chrome Enterprise Premium. These sessions are a good opportunity to dig further into real-world considerations and ask the questions that matter most to your setup: Feb 4 Introducing Cameyo: Launch Your Legacy Apps into the Modern Era Feb 25 Cameyo: Security & Infrastructure Deep Dive Mar 18 Cameyo: Chrome Enterprise Premium Integration Whether you’re already exploring Cameyo or just starting to think about how to tackle legacy apps, it’d be great to hear your perspectives and experiences.3Views0likes0CommentsZT & Cameyo
This past year, we have thoroughly enjoyed working with ChromeOS. We are proud to have equipped over 15,000 end-users with a fast, mobile digital workplace. Zero Touch enrollment, in particular, continues to be a major asset for us. Looking ahead to next year, we plan to dive deeper into Cameyo. Our goal is to offer this to our customers, enabling us to move away from even more legacy systems.17Views1like0CommentsCameyo or Cameyno?
The recent webinar we had around Cameyo and how it has developed over the past 12 months leading up to its general availability, left us excited but with further questions around how it would cope in our environment and the challenges we see with our current solution. My question(s) to the community are: What excites you about what Cameyo will do for your environment? and What questions are you now left with after the recent webinar? Big news! Cameyo by Google reaches General Availability on November 17th. Cameyo uses Virtual App Delivery (VAD), a modern alternative to VDI, to stream legacy Windows or Linux apps directly into the browser or as a PWA. This means: 100% ChromeOS is now possible. Those last few client apps are no longer a blocker! Security Unified: Cameyo combined with Chrome Enterprise Premium extends advanced security and DLP to all your legacy apps running inside the managed browser. Simplicity & Speed: Deploy apps to users in hours, not months. Question for you: What is the last legacy app holding back your full transition to ChromeOS? Let us know in the comments! Ready to learn how Cameyo can revolutionize your EUC strategy? Sign up for the Webinar on Wednesday, December 3rd!
