Can the default password app be set by admin in GEM for Android 16 users?
Hi,
I'm not aware of any ongoing issues, what exactly are you trying to accomplish that does not work?
Regarding the link, I think that has something to do with Microsoft depreciating the MS Authenticator autofill function: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/changes-to-microsoft-authenticator-autofill-09fd75df-dc04-4477-9619-811510805ab6

In Android 15 we've had issues with people needing to set 1Password as a password manager when using their work profile on their phone, and not being able to do so. Nothing to do with Microsoft.
This issue has been logged extensively over on Google issue tracker site where commenters showed the issue was not just for people using Intune or other EMMs but also those of us trying to get by with what we're paying for: Google Endpoint Management. It's also been brought up here on these enterprise forums.
As only a few members of staff need to have access to work data on mobile, we were thinking of getting some Pixel phones for them. But if this issue hasn't been resolved in Android 16 then that would be pointless. And as phones that are getting updates still are likely to get moved from 14 (where the issue didn't exist) to 15 (where there is an issue), I'd like to know if 16 has fixed this issue or not.
