GBoard - Suggestion Strip

Hi Magcho​ and mattdermody​ 

 

I have an update for you: 

The team has taken a look (and they thank you for your detailed bug report Magcho​ !) and they said that, considering that other managed configurations are working correctly and that the setting can be disabled manually on the device, it seems that this appears to be a bug in how Gboard is handling this specific configuration key from Managed Configurations.

 

This matter has been escalated internally to our support and engineering teams for investigation. 

 

I'll keep you posted as soon as I hear back from them!

Emilie_B​ Have there been any updates? This is now being reported across multiple customer environments who are frustrated that Google would push out this regression break. We're hoping for a quick fix so we can avoid having to change keyboards to a different provider.
