5 TopicsCannot reinstall Webapps after EMM migration
Hello community. I'm opening this post because a customer is experiencing an issue with private apps and webapps uninstalling and not reinstalling after a device migration from one EMM to another. The source EMM is Ivanti Endpoint Mobile Manager (formerly MobileIron Core) and the destination EMM is Ivanti Neurons for MDM (formerly MobileIron Cloud). Ivanti has developed a migration tool between Core and Cloud. Web apps that were present in Core have been recreated in Cloud, but when devices migrate, web apps uninstall and do not reinstall. Only newly enrolled cloud devices can install web apps. Do you know the cause of this problem and if there is a solution other than re-enrolling the migrated devices? Regarding private applications, MobileIron/Ivanti support told us that it is necessary to retrieve the Google company id from the Cloud and integrate it into the google play developer console of the Core for each private application that was present in the Core. However, when the customer connects to the Google Play Developer account which used to activate the Android Enterprise service on the Core, the customer is asked to pay $25 to finalize the Google Play Developer account. Isn't the creation of this console free when you integrate a very first private application from the Google Play iframe on an EMM? Hello, I have a client who would like to deploy applications while hiding them directly from the Google Play Store. The customer is on the EMM solution "Ivanti Neurons for MDM (formerly MobileIron Cloud) Ivanti has made an option available to hide applications but this only allows applications to be hidden on Ivanti's own application store (and not on the Google Play Store). Do you know if there is an option outside of the EMM console (e.g. via play.google.com/work) to deploy an app to a user but while hiding it on the client's private Google Play Store ?Solved900Views0likes6CommentsGoogle Account for Android Enterprise gets disabled
Hi all, we use a Google account in our Ivanti Neurons mobile device management system as an Android Enterprise account to manage the android apps and devices. Our account gets disabled with the following message: "Apparently, this account has been used in a way that violates Google's policy." We are unaware of any policy violation and don't know why this happened. At the moment everything is still working in the mdm, but Google says the account will be deleted in june 2026. Is there anyone from Google who can help me with that and can tell me why this happened? I fear that we will have to re-enroll all android devices if the account is deleted and we cannot find another solution to reactivate the Google account till then. I would appreciate any help. Hello, We manage Android mobile devices with an Ivanti MobileIron MDM. For the past few days, we have been experiencing issues with forced installations—they are no longer being pushed to our devices (silent install). Ivanti has indicated that Google support tickets have been opened. Bug referenced at Ivanti: It shows gms complaining about bad authentication in bugreport: [RequestTokenManager] getToken() -> BAD_AUTHENTICATION. App: com.google.android.gms, Service: oauth2:https://www.googleapis.com/auth/experimentsandconfigs Current understand of possible cause is that when issue occurs, google play account failed to got authenticated and re-auth could not recover it properly in time. Resolution We have several tickets open with google for now, and working with google on this issue. Google ticket number: 399818918 398768257 395681748 393388830 Google is rolling out a backend fix. Hello, For the past two weeks, we have been experiencing issues during the enrollment of some of our devices. After enrollment, the Play Store is empty and no apps will install. This is a problem that has occurred before, and a fix was provided by Google (link). A case is currently open between our MDM vendor, Ivanti, and Google: link. (issue tracker 399818918) Are other people experiencing this issue? Our vendor has indicated that at least one other customer is currently facing the same problem. Best regards82Views2likes3Comments
