Since the installation of Android 15, I'm now unable to set a preferred Passkey / Password service on the phone, and it says its being blocked by an IT policy, contact an admin. Being the admin, and reviewing setting multiple times, there is no policy set that comes close to this. Is there a way to allow this to be used in an enterprise, or is there no fix and it's a hidden policy?
Is there any way to remotely configure the language settings in gboard and Google voice typing? Multilingual settings are not something I have much experience with and we're looking to better accommodate associates at retail. Thanks!
Hello, I am facing an error for a several months in the MC33ax from Zebra. I have an in-house app that was uploaded to Play Console, to be further linked to Microsoft Intune. The MDM is managing corporate devices by providing the app to many ones, as MC94, MC93 and MC33ax. However, everything works fine for 93 and 94, I can see the app in the Play Store, which is not happening to 33ax.In the Google Play Console, it seems that MC33ax is not part of the device catalog.Zebra support said something about reaching out GooglePlay Developer support to add the part number, and they said I should contact Android Enterprise. Is there someone able to provide assistance? Thank you in advance, Regards,
Hello We have been having an issue over the past few weeks/months where Android devices are randomly resetting. The phones are zero touch enrolled and managed by Intune via COPE, we apply configuration and compliance policies to these devices. One of these configurations enforces a device wipe after so many failed pin code failures. This is the only known wipe configuration set on the devices. We have exhausted the configuration side and do not see a root cause other than user error, however this is not really likely given it takes some effort to actually do this. From googling online, we can see that this may be an issue relating to the play version not updating correctly, is this still an issue? Random factory resets after devices complete GZT configuration. | Android Enterprise Customer Community - 2236 These devices are a mix of newly enrolled and also old enrolled devices. They have also been setup with Wi-Fi. Thanks
138 will be the last version of Chrome that will support both A8 and A9 according to this recent announcement. https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/352616098/sunsetting-chrome-support-for-android-8-0-oreo-and-android-9-0-pie?hl=en There are very small populations of these devices left in the wild but I personally still support quite a number of them. The entire Atlas family from Zebra including the TC51, MC3300, and VC80x devices all max out on A8 with no higher upgrades available. This likely will lead to forced upgrades to those devices, especially given how many modern apps are hybrid web apps dependent on the WebView and/or Chrome (Chrome is the System WebView implementation on A8).
Hello community,I’m facing a situation where we need to set Device Owner (DO) mode on several company-owned Android devices that are already in use and have a Google account logged in.Constraints:- The devices are company property.- Factory reset is not an option due to important data stored on the devices.- We want to enforce MDM policies via Device Owner for security and compliance.Questions:Is it possible to set Device Owner mode on an Android device without wiping or resetting, when a Google account is already signed in?Are there any known solutions or MDM platforms/tools that can claim an already-used device into Device Owner mode without data loss?I would really appreciate any guidance, proven methods, or official references. Our goal is to maintain data integrity while ensuring the devices are properly managed. Thanks in advance!
Hello,We have Android phones included inMDM. I want to see the apps that drain the battery. The personal profile shows the apps that drain the battery. The applications in the job profile are not showing up. Is there any way to view this in detail?
A few years ago we added an MDM configuration to our app, according to the straightforward guide Setup managed configurationPrevious month we released a new 15.0.0 version of our app, IQ SmartApp EnterpriseBesides other changes, in this release we removed one option from the MDM configuration XML, a deprecated boolean parameter. Indeed the XML validity wasn't broken, no related changes in the app Manifest or so on.However our customers started to complain, that app lost the ability to configure MDM parameters. Also, when adding the app to Approved list on MDM Solutions (we checked on HMD and TinyMDM), in the app details was lost a badge "Tis app offers managed configuration". If download AAB and/or APK from Google Play Console and unpack them, or open them in Android Studio, the required Android Manifest parameter "android.content.APP_RESTRICTIONS" is present and pints to MDM XML config file which is also present in the AAB or APK. If check the APK, taken from Google Play Con
If so, then upvote my feedback here: Implement persistent multi user feature on Android | Microsoft Feedback. No, this is not the same as Microsoft Entra Shared Mode. It uses Android's built-in user profile feature and is documented by Google here: Manage multiple users | Android Enterprise | Android Developers. Microsoft disables this feature on all enrollment profiles with no way to enable it.
Hi, My reseller has set-up an account linked to a corporate Google account. When I try to login to https://partner.android.com/zerotouch using that account I get a "403, The account doesn't have permission to see this page. Contact your admin for access or use a different account." error. My reseller has confirmed the account is set up and is using the correct email address. Who do I need to contact to get this resolved? Thanks

Hi everyone. May we know what might be the issue here. We are trying to bind an email address with Sophos Mobile (under Android Enterprise) and this shows the following error. Other email works fine.
Trying to follow this doc. We want to use InTune to control our corporate owned Android devices. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/intune/intune-service/enrollment/connect-intune-android-enterprise At step 7, it has me click "Launch Google to connect now" and I just get "Unexpected error. Please wait for some time and try again." Tried multiple browsers, incognito, multiple accounts, etc. All same results. We have a licensed Google Workspace tenant with Enterprise Standard licenses. The account has access to all Google apps/services. My account is both an Azure Global Admin and a Google Workspace Super Admin/Owner. Sat on chat with Workspace/Android Enterprise support trying all the obvious things for 3 hours with no resolution. They finally gave up and just said "call Microsoft" which doesn't help, it's literally an error thrown by enterprise.google.com. How do I get past this error to configure the connection? Hello, We previously enabled the "Collections" feature in Managed Google Play, in Intune, to organize apps into categories. However, we would now like to revert to the default layout where all approved apps are visible in the Play store without needing to be added to a collection. We have fully managed Android devices. Currently, apps that are not explicitly added to a collection do not appear in the Play Store which is causing confusion for our users. According to the Google support article here: https://support.google.com/googleplay/work/answer/9146438?hl=en It states: "Note: Creating a collection changes the Play Store layout type which requires that all apps must be added to a collection to be visible. Deleting collections does not automatically revert back to the basic layout. Contact your EMM to determine how to revert back to the basic Play Store layout in their solution." The workaround currently is to add every single app into the collection but its easy to forg
I bought a Google Pixel 9a from Bechtle in Germany. I have already a Pixel 4 assigned and installed via Endpoint Manager. They told me i should add the following reseller ID 1823138271 to my Zero Touch portal. But i cannot find it. I have the following reseller added already: Reseller-Name Bechtle Direct B.V Entfernen Bechtle Logistik & Service GmbH Entfernen Brodos how can i find the reseller id 1823138271 in the Zero touch portal?
Hi everyone,I'm managing a large number of Android tablets in an educational environment. I'm trying to enroll the devices using Android Enterprise with QR code enrollment, but I'm having trouble getting the QR method to appear. So far, only Zero-Touch shows as an option, but most of our devices were not purchased through Zero-Touch resellers, so we can't use that method. My main question is:Is it strictly necessary to use an external MDM (like Miradore, Intune, etc.) to generate the QR code, or is there a way to create and use it directly from the Google Admin console or natively through Android Enterprise? We want to deploy the tablets efficiently and avoid entering accounts manually. Ideally, each device would automatically enroll with our managed Google Play account by scanning a QR code after a factory reset. This is especially important in a school context, where we have many students and limited time for configuration. We are already registered in Google Workspace, and the tablets
I use a corporate device pixel 7 pro phone. I am using pixel watch 3. THe watch app is installed on personal profile and in notifications, I see option to enable work profile apps which I have done already still I don't see the work apps notifications on my watch. I need to understand how to get this working. People using apple phones are easily using their watch to get such notification but everything with google is so confusing and complex. Let me know any easy way to get this implemented. I am disappointed in google products lately as I see my colleagues do same thing very easily with apple devices.
The Managed Play Store and the Google Play iFrame play a major role in Android Enterprise Management and the Collections are important for managing and displaying apps in the Managed Store.Basically, the collections work well, but I also see room for improvement there. These would not only be useful for admins, but also for users. But first a step back:There are two different layouts: Basic and Custom. A collection (or ‘cluster’) can have up to 100 apps.Basic is a single collectionCustom allows up to 30 collections Easier sorting in the iFrameThe apps are sorted in the iFrame using arrows next to the app icons. Especially with large collections, it becomes a task of patience when an app has to be sorted to the back. A drag & drop feature would make customisation much more convenient. Backup / restore of collectionsA restore function for collections was asked for in another topic. In addition to ‘edit’, ‘delete’ and ‘duplicate’, “export” and ‘import’
Hello,i've recently published a new private app to our Managed play Store through the iFrame in Intune.I can assign the app now, install it and search for it on the Work Profile Play Store on my phone but i can't find the app when i want to add it to a collection. We have a few similar private apps already published and these work fine. It is only the most recent one i can't find in the collections. Is there another Sync i am missing or is it a problem with our Managed Play Store? Thanks for the help. BRSeb
I've got a use case for some multi-user Android tablets and I'm trying to figure out the best solution. I know Android allows you to create secondary users by default but it appears that Microsoft Intune is disabling this setting automatically. Doesn't seem to be a way to allow it given that the only options are block or not configured. I put in a ticket with Microsoft and I'm sure their answer will be to use Microsoft Entra Shared Mode and the Managed Home Screen but that doesn't work very well. Also, it appears multi-user functionality is documented by Google and an EMM can set it up so the user can create secondary users using the standard Android settings or the DPC can create the secondary user. Also looks like there's some work to be done as far as making sure the DPC can still manage the secondary users as well.https://developer.android.com/work/dpc/dedicated-devices/multiple-users So I am curious for those using other EMMs: do you allow secondary users on any of your
I'm looking for a way to block the dinosaur game in chrome on Android. I see the AllowDinosaurEasterEgg managed configuration but that is only for desktop Chrome. Are there any plans to implement this for Android? Is there another way to achieve this? This is a high priority request from our customer to the point where we see the only solution is to switch browsers. Thank You
Hello, We're having trouble assigning the default configuration when resellers add phones to our Zero-Touch account. We've successfully linked Intune to the Zero-Touch account. In Intune, there is a fully managed profile. I used this token to create a profile that works, no problem. However, when resellers add new devices, they don't retrieve our default configuration, which is called PROD_INTUNE_FullyManaged, but retrieve a default profile that we haven't configured. It's quite annoying to have to systematically reassign the correct default profile. Thank you for your help on this issue. *Post updated 27 May, 2025 - translated from French to English
