DPC Extras issues
I think your second "1." was mentioned here already as this really looks like a bug and doesn'T make sense. (to be honest i think i haven't seen that yes on our Motorola (A14+) devices yet)
"2." Would make sense in my opinion but most likely a "feature request" to Google ( Lizzie again ;) )
But could also be different on enterprise devices like Zebra where you use StageNow barcodes which are more powerful than the ones from Google itself.
"3." would require a seperate part on the memory not getting factory resettet, this can be found on enterprise devices like Zebra devices but not on consumer devices like Samsung and so on. And maybe mattdermody could tell you what kind of information can be left here as I'm lack of knowledge what kind of information is kept there.
Regarding userfriednly: I mean the only thing a user needs to do on a device which is in ZT, is to establish a network connection (Wifi or SIM) and then just tap thru the screens "continue" without the need of doing anything.
I fully agree that even those screens (i mean really all of them) should be configureable to be skipped in DPC (i opened a tread about that here already somewhere some time ago) but out of that, why is that not userfriendly?
Turn device on, get it online, (tap few times same button) -> tada device is setting up itself thru the connected MDM.
You can persist pretty much anything in the Enterprise directory on Zebra devices including EMM agents using Custom DPC. With that in mind if was enrolling a Zebra device I wouldn't be considering ZTE anyway since "Zero Touch" is a misnomer and I can enroll devices in a much more streamlined manner with Zebra StageNow.
