Hello AE community, Our users encounter screen sensitivity issue while using a screen proctection on their devices, Device impacted is Samsung A9+, There is a setting to enhance screen sensitivity but it is not manageable thought Ivanti NMDM, or Knox Service Plugin. We also use Bluebird devices, for this manufacturer, sensitity setting is manageable using their OEM Config app. Is there another method to manage this setting ? Should i make a FER (Feature Enhancement Request) to Samsung directly ? Regards Batlac40Views0likes4CommentsUnable to Add Work Profile on HONOR Magic V5 for Microsoft Intune Enrollment
Dear Android Enterprise Support Team, I am experiencing an issue while attempting to enroll my HONOR Magic V5 device into Microsoft Intune for device management. I just bought the device one week ago, but when I try to add a work profile, I receive the following error message: "Can't add work profile. A work profile can't be added to this HONOR Magic V5. If you have questions, contact your IT admin." This issue is preventing me from completing the enrollment process required by my organization. I have already consulted with my company’s global IT support team, and they confirmed that there is no alternative solution on our side. The only way to resolve this issue is for HONOR to make the HONOR Magic V5 compatible with the Microsoft Intune application and Android Enterprise work profile enrollment. Device Details: Model: HONOR Magic V5 OS Version: Magic OS 9.0.1 Android version: 15 Model: MBH-N49 Error Screenshot: attached as below Could you please advise if this device supports Android Enterprise work profiles or if there are any compatibility limitations? If there is a workaround or firmware update required, kindly provide guidance. Your prompt assistance would be greatly appreciated as this is impacting my ability to comply with company security policies.36Views0likes2CommentsFido2 key and their issues using them on Android
First, do Android support using Fido2 keys on Android? Yes, it does support both using bluetooth, NFC and USB authentication. For reference: https://developers.google.com/identity/fido/android/native-apps But does it mean that it is straight forward to use it in a enterprise environment without hiccups? No, the support lacks many features that both Windows and iOS has supported for long time. If I buy a modern Fido2 with OTP support, will it work straight out of the box for using the USB? No, you need to disable the OTP support first. Here is how you can do that from yubikey manager, this works for Yubikey. Other vendors might have something similar. But for Fido2 keys without OTP support, it should work out of the box for USB-C, like Google titan. Why this happens, dont know. Can we use NFC for Entra ID authentication like we can on Windows and iOS? No. Android does not currently support CTAP2 for NFC, only for USB-C input. CTAP1 (FIDO U2F) supports certificate based authentication, but CTAP supports user verification with PIN and biometrics. Entra ID requires UV (user verification) before accepting login. As far as I know, there is also support for bluetooth. But I dont have any fido2 keys that support bluetooth yet. So why does this matter? With Android you can have shared devices with secure login for multiple users with a single log in for all supported apps, auto log off and many other possibilities. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity-platform/msal-shared-devices Other sources/discussions: https://www.reddit.com/r/yubikey/comments/1oncuh2/whats_the_point_of_nfc_on_android/ https://www.reddit.com/r/yubikey/comments/13tlzoc/fido2_inconsistent_across_windowsandroid/ https://fidoalliance.org/specifications/246Views3likes12CommentsOnePlus 15 not listed in the AER(Android Enterprise Recommended) devices
OnePlus 15 not listed in the AER(Android Enterprise Recommended) devices Hello Everyone, I've noticed that the OnePlus 15 is not included in the Android Enterprise Recommended (AER) devices list, which can be found here: https://androidenterprisepartners.withgoogle.com/devices/#!?search=Oneplus. While the OnePlus 13 is currently listed, I'm curious to know when the OnePlus 15 might be added. I discovered that the absence of the OnePlus 15 from the AER list is not allowing work profile to be installed on my oneplus 15. Could someone provide insight into whether the OnePlus 15 will be added to the AER list in the near future? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.Solved106Views1like5CommentsI haven't been able to access this job profile for two hours. Someone please tell me.

Have a bit of an emergency where after the latest Gboard update, when users tap an input field, instead of Gboard just showing up as normal, a menu bubble is appearing instead where they have to tap it and select the "show on screen keyboard" option. I haven't been able to locate Google's release notes for Gboard to see if there was something that changed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!Solved363Views0likes25CommentsRestoring Data on a Fully Managed (Device Owner) Android Device During Enrollment
Hello everyone, I’m testing the setup (enrollment) of a Device Owner / Fully Managed Android device, and I’ve run into a question about restoring data. When setting up a personal Android device, you typically get the option to sign in with a Google account and restore apps/data from a backup. However, when I try this on my test device with the fully managed (Device Owner) enrollment flow, it goes straight into the MDM provisioning process. I don’t see the Google sign-in page or any option to restore data from my Google backup. My questions: Is this the expected behaviour for Device Owner (fully managed) setups? Are there any official guides or best practices for restoring user data in this scenario (if supported)? Thanks in advance for any guidance or documentation links!145Views0likes3CommentsUnable to install certificates for WiFi
Our MDM is using an internal app to install certificates that can be managed by our platform. The problem is when trying to set up corporate EAP-TLS networks, the device is unable to use the installed certificate for WiFi authentication. We see that identity certificates that can be installed programatically via DevicePolicyManager.installKeyPair(ComponentName admin, PrivateKey privKey, Certificate[] certs, String alias, boolean requestAccess) are installed under User Credentials settings section but for VPN and apps usage, not for WiFi, which is what the network configuration is expecting. Is there any other Android SDK API we can use in order to install the certificates for WiFi usage? Many thanks.192Views0likes1Comment
