Solved

Hi, I am using Android Management API to develop MDM solution. The main feature is customization Kiosk launcher and there is a solution in Android Managemen API. It's working very well.https://developers.google.com/android/management/reference/rest/v1/enterprises.policies#installtypeThere is a requirement about exiting Kiosk launcher offline.   I think it's the common use case but I cannot find any solution to finish it. (lockTaskAllowed item is deprecated....) Is there any way to do this? Note: My production need customization kiosk launcher so the "kioskCustomLauncherEnabled" cannt be used.

Hello, When a device is enrolled with Google workspace, there are 2 applications environment (personal and work), when we restrict access to only work applications menu, how can we enable applications that are already in the device to the work applications list please? Thanks!

Hi, @Lizzie  I was hoping you could guide me to the right person please. We are working on a B2B project, and through our discovery phase we noted that to execute the functionality we want within our APK, we need to build out a working UEM platform. We were advised that the only way this was possible was to enrol within the Enterprise Partner Program. We applied but after a week we were told we were not eligible, but not entirely sure why. When something like this happens, who can we speak to please to understand how we can move forward? Many Thanks John

Hi All, I am facing a problem accessing the vendor account of the Zero Touch portal. Previously in the partner portal, I selected the account and created the customers under them. But now that the specific vendor account is not available it is creating a problem for us to manage the previous customers and create new customers to support via ZT API.  Please help us on this to resolve asap.

We have had a random number of devices performing a factory reset after GZT enrollment has completed and places devices into MDM solution. The devices we have experienced this on are mostly Rhino but some Samsung tablets. The OS we are mostly dealing with is OS12. Once devices enroll, they drop into staging folders. When they are deployed, we move them to production folders. How we have been catching this is by devices showing enrollment for a second time, by MDM logs, sometime after the device was fully configured. For the devices we deployed that reset, end up back in Staging folders. For the last few weeks, we have been trying to capture what is triggering the resets. We captured logs on device side but cannot see what is triggering it. There a no logs of this command being sent from MDM solution. We suspect that it is GZT but unable to capture any logs for this action or know how to stop it. We are also having other but same issues that were listed in this discussion. Som

Updated 12th October, 2023   Current status: Fix implemented   Issue description: We've received multiple reports that some approved apps are not displayed in the Managed Play store on devices.   Latest update: Hello everyone,   Thank you for your patience and for your help to identify the problem. I've been informed by our Engineering Team that a fix has been implemented and those apps not displaying should now be visible. If you experienced this issue, please can I ask you to check if this has been resolved on your side?    Massive thanks,   Android Enterprise Customer Community Team   Previous update: Current status: Under investigationWe've received multiple reports that some approved apps are not displayed in the Managed Play store on devices.   Our Engineering Team is aware of the issue and actively working on a fix to address this. Unfortunately, they don't have an estimated time for when the issue will be resolve

Dear Community, we wanted to use Google Calendar in Combination with Outlook Mobile (Sync Calendar) with Intune. Unfortunately, we are facing the issue, that Google Calendar does not start on our COPE enrollments. After setting permissions to Contacts, Calendar and Notifications we see just for a second the calendar, but then the message pops up "Action not allowed". On our BYOD enrollments there are no problems. I guess, this has something to do with Intune (App), but i cannot nail it down what the issue could be.It seems Company Portal App is doing something different, because why it's working for BYOD Devices? I was hoping that someone else here had the same issue with a possible fix. Maybe Google calendar wants to add a Google Account, which is of course blocked at work profile level... Thanks!

Hi support team,is there a limit to the maximum number of users (admins or owners) that can be on the same Zero Touch portal?

Hi, we are working with multiple resellers across the globe. These days, we had an issue, where some of the Zebra devices were registered to Zero touch, which ended in restart-loop, because they are in SOTI and cannot be in ZT together. So I removed them from ZT, but I want to prevent this situation happening again, so I need to know which reseller registered them and give hime a little "training" what he can and cannot do. I didnt found any way how to see the history in ZT portal.  Thank you.

In the new Zero Touche portal, I'd like to add a new account. I can enter the email address and the role, but then I get the following error:An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again laterHave other people experienced this problem? What can I do?

We have previously done more MAM and are moving to allow users on Android to setup the work profile.  In testing on Pixel 8 running Android 14 QPR we are seeing significant battery drain from the company portal app.  Like so bad that it’s making the devices lag and hot and killing the battery. did we miss something in the config @jasonbayton maybe you have some insights?

Hi all, after registering company for Android Enterprise, to use with our EEM Solution from Sophos we added 10 users (send invitation and confirm/register process). Trying to add the 11th user we get the error: The organization that invited you has no other licenses to add users. Contact your administrator.(translated from german)How/where can we get additional licenses? Thought for Android Enterprise we don't need to buy licenses...of course we have the licenses for the EMM solution from Sophos (Sophos Mobile).Any help appreciated. Thanks, Lutz

Hi, Apologies for putting this as a generic query. I'm trying to find some answers to below questions regarding the working of GOTA solution. 1) Is GOTA a SaaS solution provided by google where authorized device resellers can create accounts and add customer devices for managing OTA updates?2) Do each reseller (Eg- HMD, Samsung etc.) maintain separate tenant in GOTA or it is just a separate account within one tenant?3) If an organization is already using GOTA services through one reseller (Eg- Samsung), what is the process for setting up GOTA services with a different reseller (HMD)? Once signed-up will the customer devices be maintained in two separate tenants/accounts within GOTA?4) Is there a default behavior for OTA update release on GOTA devices? Will they be blocked from receiving any updates until customer approval or will they receive all updates by default until customer asks the reseller to block a particular update?

I am wondering some of customer facing devices reset automatically? Is there any reason behind this? From our customer, we got the following information about this issue.Case one is that the device got shut down due to the charge being finished. after starting the device they found that the device was reseted.Case two is that the device was shut down for one or two months. after starting the device they found that the device was reseted. Thank you so much for your attention and participation in advance.

Dear Community Members, We are currently encountering an issue with the enrollment of three recently acquired Samsung S23 devices. While we are able to successfully enroll other devices, these specific models are presenting a persistent problem. The error message displayed is as follows: "Zero-Touch Registration is not available. Check your internet connection and try again." To address this, we have attempted the following troubleshooting steps:Utilized mobile data from various carriers as well as Wi-Fi connections, yet the error persists.Formatted the devices.Completely removed the devices from the Zero-Touch portal (https://partner.android.com/zerotouch#) and subsequently re-added them.Attempted manual enrollment using the QR Code provided by Intune.Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved. Interestingly, we have successfully enrolled a Samsung XCover 5 without encountering any similar difficulties. We are reaching out to inquire if others in the commu

Hi, I am wondering how often a STATUS_REPORT PubSub message is sent for a device. Is it on a specific cadence? Random? When the device encounters a change (i.e. policy update)? I can't find anything in the PubSub docs (https://developers.google.com/android/management/notifications) although I could be missing something. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,in general, Android Enterprise devices are always getting the latest version of an app that is available via Managed Google Play. But, there are some edge cases like:older version needed (example: Citrix Workspace app deprecated app for Android 11 and below, might be problematic for special devices like handheld-scanners)beta tests (example: Microsoft Teams, would be awesome to provide this inside the Work profile)In both cases you are receiving APKs from the vendors. For Citrix Workspace they are available here: Download Earlier Versions of Workspace app for Android - Citrix I've tried to discover possibilities to publish them via Intune (should be equal for other MDMs):Private App in Managed Google PlayProblems:Package Name not unique:The package name com.citrix.Receiver is already used by another application.APK too big.Limit of 100 MB Distribute app via Google Play Console / Developerprivate app scoped to Org. IDbut, same problems as on Managed Google PlayCha

I have several queries about private app management through the managed Play Store which are the following-Is there any number limitation of releasing private apps?how many times can I update a private app in a day?how to see how many devices got the updated app after it was published?
