Hi,  is there any plan to develop full Chrome OS Flex support for T2 Intel macbook airs from 2018-2019?  I tried installed it on the that machine, but it has common Linux struggle with T2 security chip: keyboard, touchpad, wifi and bluetooth not worked.  So, I wondering, if there will be some future support?  I know that the non-working parts, i mentioned, is possible to have fully working with t2linux project. I am running Fedora 42 with t2linux patches without issues.  Thanks Alv.

Hey.The admin console has a fantastic feature where you can see the AUE of your devices pr year.  It makes it easier to plan budget for replacing devices going out of support and planning execution.https://admin.google.com/ac/chrome/devices/?sf=2&so=2&tab=dashboard However - you can only see Chrome OS devices since the "Automatic updates until" field in Google Admin is not populated as in the example below. Obviously this information is available somewhere to be displayed, but it is currently not.I would really like to avoid exporting inventory to a spreadsheet, use the certified model list (https://support.google.com/chromeosflex/answer/11513094?hl=en)  to populate the empty field in the spreadsheet and keep track of it there. How do others plan inventory replacements? Has anyone else tried to reach out to the Chrome OS team pointing out this flaw?

Hello Everyone, I've noticed that the OnePlus 13 is not included in the Android Enterprise Recommended (AER) devices list, which can be found here: https://androidenterprisepartners.withgoogle.com/devices/#!?search=Oneplus. While the OnePlus 12 is currently listed, I'm curious to know when the OnePlus 13 might be added. My work profile on the OnePlus 13 was functioning properly for the past three weeks but has suddenly stopped working today. I discovered that the absence of the OnePlus 13 from the AER list could be the cause, although I'm puzzled as to why there were no issues until now. Could someone provide insight into whether the OnePlus 13 will be added to the AER list in the near future? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I'm turning to the community to see if there are any solutions being used out in the wild that assist with bulk wiping Android devices.  I suspect that what I'm asking may not be possible - mainly due to the nature of Android Developer Options, USB Debugging etc. - but I've been I've been tasked by our management to investigate and possibly propose a solution. As an example, we currently use several Cambrionix ThunderSync3 16 port devices to DFU both iOS and macOS devices but they don't offer a similar solution for Android.  Are there any solutions that can be used either in tandem with docking stations like Cambrionix or some other.  Our use case is Work Managed and we use Omnissa Workspace ONE UEM to manage the devices. The devices themselves are Pixels and Samsungs. and each device is loaded into either the Google Zero Touch Portal or the Samsung Knox Portal. The expectation is that when a large number of Androids are returne

I use chrome but to clarify I have tried them all and they all have the same issue. Basically after awhile on a tab any videos loaded will go black. The audio is still there but the video itself no longer shows images unless I go to a new tab. I have tried turning off hardware acceleration, I have deleted my browsers cache, I have changed my power settings, I have even reset my whole PC from factory reset and it still happens. My graphics card is AMD Radeon and I have the latest adrenaline graphic driver installed. Any idea

Hello, I was searching for a precise info, but i cant find any official info, and unofficial sources are not precise, to say the least. How many devices can I upload to ZTP from resseller portal using a single .csv file? I have found that limitations are 30, 50, 60 devices per one file, or that the limitation is the size of the file- 50mb. The problem is, probably i will need to add tens of thousands of devices, and maximum 50 devices per one .csv is a big limitation in that case. Or is there any other way to add very large quantities of devices?

Hi everyone, I’m feeling very disappointed and need some help here. We’ve invested significant time and effort into building an EMM solution that aligns fully with Google’s own guidelines: Built according to Android Enterprise requirements Obtained Expert certification for our team Have clients ready to onboard devices immediately Despite doing all of the above, our application keeps getting rejected with the reason: “Doesn’t Meet Program Requirements.”   The problem is, there’s no clear reason provided for rejection. Without clarity, there’s no way to improve or move forward. Google has a 500 device limit before allowing scaling, but without program approval, our clients may suffer.   We have already done certifications, built the platform, and proven readiness.   Our TESTING PLATFORM is live.    At this point, I honestly don’t know what else can be done. If there’s no path forward and no constructive guidance, I may be forced to open-source the entire

Hello everyone,I am exploring how to reduce resource usage on corporate-owned Android devices that are configured with multiple users or profiles.Currently, Android's VPN framework is per-user:Each user (or work profile) maintains its own VPN state. An Always-On VPN can only be configured within the context of the current user or profile. This means that if a device has several users, each user needs to run a separate VPN instance. This design results in unnecessary duplication:Multiple VPN processes or tunnels are active on the same device.System resources (CPU, battery, memory) are consumed redundantly. The VPN app itself must be installed and configured multiple times. My request/idea:Enable a single VPN instance at the device level (not just per-user), so that one VPN tunnel can secure network traffic across all users and profiles. This would:Greatly reduce resource waste.Simplify deployment and management for IT admins.Prevent the need for each user or profile to maintain its own VPN c

Hi I have a 2009 MacBook pro that I just switched to ChromeOS Flex and the Computer Has backlit keys but the keyboard key (f5 and f6) does not work. Is there any way I can fix this?

We have a fleet that is managed with Android Management API that we use for pre prod testing. We started getting `Organization reached its usage limits, your work profile can't be set up` error recently in this enterprise. It had about 800 device when i did the list devices call. I have now removed the older devices and the list device call now returns 84 devices, but I still see the above error when trying to enroll new device. Its been about 2 days since i deleted the devices. Also been about 2 days since i have filled up https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf4VCzblf27V6jx1_iFt7lD1WjyCDpSDzQcxunTbQdbkEGG4Q/viewform to increase the quota for registered devices. Is there any way to investigate this issue? Can I check the registered devices qouta anywhere in GCP console? Are there any other case where I can see this error? I am seeing this error for both work profile and fully managed device.

Hi just wanted to know if there will be issues with already enrolled devices in Intune if we unlink these accounts.

Hi, we are currently trialing automatic device enrollment using a Zero Touch Account and baramundi Management Suite as our EMM solution. It all worked well, until I deleted the Android Enterprise account before unlinking it from our Zero Touch account. When I now try to create a new enterprise and link it to our Zero Touch account, it says that it's already linked and I can't proceed to the actual Zero Touch console within the iFrame in the EMM.Sadly I can't change the display language for the iframe. It says "Choose accounts to be linked" and the light grey part next to the checkbox says "already linked". I'm only presented the option to go back and choose another Google account. There doesn't appear to be an option on the web portal version of Zero Touch (https://enterprise.google.com/android/zero-touch/customers/) to unlink the enterprise either. When I try to delete the enterprise it warns me to unlink the Zero Touch account before proceeding and tells me that all ente

Is there a blog article on Configuring VPN on managed ChromeOS devices that meets the NCSC.gov.uk guidelines, to work with AWS ideally but Google cloud is an option. https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/collection/device-security-guidance/platform-guides/chrome-os Configure a virtual private network (VPN) where required:ChromeOS supports the use of NCSC recommended protocol IPSec IKEv2 which can be configured using the built-in client. This can  be deployed via an MDM (such as Google Workspace). If a third party VPN is required, use an official Android app deployed by the Google Play Store to manage and configure the connection on ChromeOS.When using third party VPN solutions, you should test that ChromeOS, Crostini and Android traffic are protected by the VPN (where required) and that the VPN is automatically started.Requirements above.  Ideally Split tunnel so that Google Workspace traffic ( like Google Meet) does not go over the VPN.Managed from the google

Hello peeps I fancied running automated network connectivity checks in one of my apps. Pulled in the list from the Devices category of  network requirements and it looks like one of the OTA cache servers has been down for at least a week.  ota-cache2.googlezip.net I raised it quietly but figured it was worth calling out here also.

Can we get clarity as to why Lacros was pulled and if their are any plans to replace it?

Hi, We have an issue in our tenant with BYOD device enrollment (Personally owned with Work Profile). We use Intune as EMM. We want to push a WiFi policy to our devices but we do not want to preconfigure auto-connection for our users. Our users must manually connect to the network. The problem is that this setting is not supported for BYOD in Intune, so we have no control over it. In addition, the default behaviour of the devices (tested in Realme, Xiaomi, Nokia, Google, Samsung phones) is that autoconnect is enabled by default. Even if the user disables it, next Intune sync enables it back.  Finally, I checked the policy via graph API and I see that: "connectAutomatically": false,    "connectWhenNetworkNameIsHidden": false,    "wiFiSecurityType": "wpaEnterprise", Is this setting not honored by the OS? Is there anything we can do about it?

Hello everyone ,Does anyone use knox sdk restricted method ?  We have an app that has a driving mode and the apps is used for security purpose . Of course the app use  know high restrictions feature like disable apps or enable/disable voice restrictions .  Our xcover on android 15 , we have a message error that's say the app is not running in device owner mode : SecurityException: Caller is not DO or PO or KPU. According to Samsung post here , our app in android 15 will loose many restrictions we use . My question is how we can update to android 15 ? Our device is managed by Ivanti . The device owner of our device is the ivanti app and thus it can use  knox sdk restrictions . I am pretty sure we can't have 2 apps being device owner if i am not wrong  but i didn't find the proof yet . Sounds like the solution is to manage our device with only our EMM which doesn't satisfy our needs .Does anyone have any other idea  ? It's a specific case actu

Hello Team Is there any possibility to link Android Zero touch portal with an Access Management tool with the APIs? We have our internal access management tool of our organization. We want to link the ZTE portal so that the request and permission for adding and deleting admins can be managed by Access management tool. Is there any API for that?

Dear Android Enterprise Team and Community, I hope you're doing well. I submitted the “Get in touch” form on the Android Enterprise website and received the confirmation email on May 30, which I have already responded to. However, I haven’t received any follow-up or contact from a specialist since then. We are exploring Android Enterprise solutions for our business and are interested in understanding the next steps to get started. Could someone from the team or community please assist or guide me on how to proceed? If additional information is required from my side, I’d be happy to provide it. Thank you for your support.   Best regards,  Deepak  Alobha Technologies Pvt Ltd (This post was edited to remove personal information, in compliance with our guidelines)
