Solved

Hello community,I’m facing a situation where we need to set Device Owner (DO) mode on several company-owned Android devices that are already in use and have a Google account logged in.Constraints:- The devices are company property.- Factory reset is not an option due to important data stored on the devices.- We want to enforce MDM policies via Device Owner for security and compliance.Questions:Is it possible to set Device Owner mode on an Android device without wiping or resetting, when a Google account is already signed in?Are there any known solutions or MDM platforms/tools that can claim an already-used device into Device Owner mode without data loss?I would really appreciate any guidance, proven methods, or official references. Our goal is to maintain data integrity while ensuring the devices are properly managed. Thanks in advance!

Hello,We have Android phones included inMDM. I want to see the apps that drain the battery. The personal profile shows the apps that drain the battery. The applications in the job profile are not showing up. Is there any way to view this in detail?

A few years ago we added an MDM configuration to our app, according to the straightforward guide Setup managed configurationPrevious month we released a new 15.0.0 version of our app, IQ SmartApp EnterpriseBesides other changes, in this release we removed one option from the MDM configuration XML, a deprecated boolean parameter. Indeed the XML validity wasn't broken, no related changes in the app Manifest or so on.However our customers started to complain, that app lost the ability to configure MDM parameters. Also, when adding the app to Approved list on MDM Solutions (we checked on HMD and TinyMDM), in the app details was lost a badge "Tis app offers managed configuration". If download AAB and/or APK from Google Play Console and unpack them, or open them in Android Studio, the required Android Manifest parameter "android.content.APP_RESTRICTIONS" is present and pints to MDM XML config file which is also present in the AAB or APK. If check the APK, taken from Google Play Con

Hi everyone. May we know what might be the issue here. We are trying to bind an email address with Sophos Mobile (under Android Enterprise) and this shows the following error. Other email works fine.

I bought a Google Pixel 9a from Bechtle in Germany. I have already a Pixel 4 assigned and installed via Endpoint Manager. They told me i should add the following reseller ID 1823138271 to my Zero Touch portal. But i cannot find it. I have the following reseller added already: Reseller-Name  Bechtle Direct B.V Entfernen  Bechtle Logistik & Service GmbH Entfernen  Brodos how can i find the reseller id 1823138271 in the Zero touch portal?

I'm looking for a way to block the dinosaur game in chrome on Android. I see the AllowDinosaurEasterEgg managed configuration but that is only for desktop Chrome. Are there any plans to implement this for Android? Is there another way to achieve this? This is a high priority request from our customer to the point where we see the only solution is to switch browsers. Thank You

The ability to apply a managed configuration to Gbaord has disappeared. We think this is due to a recent change to the Gboard app where Google has removed this ability.   Environment:MDM = Omnissa Workspace One UEM (we are also hearing reports of this impacting SOTI customers as well)Rugged Zebra Mobile devices, majority running either A11 or A13Leads:Managed App configs are still present on Chrome & ServiceNow Now Agent, hence why we believe this is not an MDM Console issue. We have escalated to Omnissa support anyway, who have in turn escalated to Google. Is anyone else seeing this issue?

I work for an MSP.  We have taken on a new customer that has lost the password for their EMM Bind account (EMM is Intune).  Has anyone else been through a recover process for this and have any advice?  The have approx 200 devices enrolled, so we can't risk them having to be enrolled.

Hello guys. Can i get a ideia about the Motorola G05 compatibility with the Android enterprise service and VMWARE MDM

I have added a private app to our managed play store (MS Intune) and followed the steps documented in Distribute private apps to make this available to a partner organization but unfortunately when they attempt to add the app to their UEM solution (Omnissa Workspace ONE) by play store URL they receive a http 404 response and cannot proceed. We have shared an app with them previously (same app, different productFlavor with app id suffix) and that worked seamlessly so we are bit stumped. Reaching out to our respective vendors has not been fruitful so it's not entirely clear what to do next, would appreciate any advice you have!

Hi,Does Google offer any caching service to help reduce bandwidth usage when deploying apps through an EMM solution? For example, in the case of public iOS applications, Apple provides a Content Caching service that speeds up downloads and reduces bandwidth consumption: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/deployment/depde72e125f/web.Regards.

I have some customer who uses my EMM console integrated with Zero touch services. Some of his previous used device added in zero touch portal but not activate the device as enterprise device that  means not enroll in emm portal. Rather using the devices as personal. Is it violate the google zero touch policy?

I'm being very confused when trying to add a private app into the Stix EMM, and I'm not sure where the problem lies, so I'm asking here! I successfully loaded it in: But when I then click on that and then try to click Select app... nothing happens. Nothing on screen, nothing in the dev console, no network traffic... Nothing.  And so I can't add this app to my devices. And I'm entirely lost as to what's going on. Is this a Stix thing? Or an Android Enterprise thing?

Hey! I noticed a little bug today and wanted to ask if anyone else is experiencing this. With the update to Play Store 46.1.37-31 [0] [PR] 755161904, a push message informs you that Google Play Services must be updated. With a COPE device, this only occurs in the work profile. Even if Google Play Services is updated to the latest version (25.18.33 (190400-756823100)), the message appears as soon as you open the Managed Play Store. @Lizzie Is there anything known here? The Managed Play Store works normally despite the warning in the push message. I would also have logs if required.

Is there a way to skip the "setup using another device" wizard screen?  We don't see the benefit of showing up this option, on company environment, having MDM managed devices with Zero touch enrollment setup. That screen is specifically, the 3rd screen, when setting up a new device, after selecting the language and the insert SIM card instrucctions screens. As those screens are right before the Network setup screen the device won't be able to connect with Google services to get MDM server and the custom profile, so not sure how to disable it? Thanks

My team uses AMA API to managed devices. As part creation of enrollment token we push some applications and managed configuration to those applications as part of the policy. But we are noticing that this is not very reliable. We have many user stories where the app gets installed but the managed configuration is missing. This doesn't happen on all devices but the occurrence of this has been increasing. Is there any known issue or SLA on how long it takes for the managed configuration to be pushed? We have an Application that is set as Required for Setupin the policy. This Application has managed configuration setup, which is required for App registration. This is missing by the time app launches and app registration fails and consequently the work profile provisioning fails.

Hi! We had problems with a few devices after enrollment today. The Managed Play Store did not work properly. Restarting and waiting seems to help. SymptomsEmpty collection in Managed Google PlaySpaceship error, because supposedly no apps were made availableInstallation commands from the UEM did not work in some casesApps assigned in UEM cannot be found in PlayI was only able to reproduce the problem in one of 3 attempts. A few automatic app installations worked for me. However, it was not possible to search for the apps manually. Restarting the device and then waiting a while seems to help. However, a colleague had a strange error in Managed Google Play after a restart when he tried to install an app manually."The item you want to buy could not be found."However, it is not a purchased app or an app with in-app purchases.  Is anyone else currently having problems with Managed Google Play?

My team uses Android Management API to manage our enterprise's devices. Our management policy includes managed configurations for our Kiosk application, in order to correctly enroll our devices into our services. If this is not done, device provisioning fails. Over the past few months (first report we received was on January 13th), we have observed that certain devices are failing to receive the managed configurations, and thus fail to go through the process correctly. They fail to receive configurations on a policy change as well, which affects our existing devices. Before, removing the devices from our policies and enrolling again would succeed in sending the managed configurations to the affected devices. However, this issue is now persisting across attempts and happening more frequently. We have devices affected on both Android 13 and 14.

We recently disconnected our Managed Google Play account from Intune, which was initially set up with a standard Google Account. Now, we are reconnecting Intune to our Managed Google Play account using a Managed Google account that is synchronized with our Entra ID SSO. This means we can sign in with our company domain (@mycompany.com) using our Entra ID password. We are able to enroll our Android phones into Android Enterprise and publish apps to our Managed Google Play store without issues. To ensure redundancy, Google highly recommends creating a secondary owner account in case the primary account is compromised. See Google KB . I'm following the guide on assigning roles in enterprises from the Managed Google Play Help. However, my Play Store account admin screen appears quite limited compared to what I should be seeing. Here’s a screenshot of my current view:Previously, when we used a personal Google account for our Managed Google Play Store, I could invite other users to

The customer reported an issue to us: on the personal part of his phones, business contacts are no longer displayed across his entire fleet when users receive SMS from business and personal contacts (only numbers appear, without contact names).By default, Samsung phones use the rich Google Messages application, as well as Textra, which are both impacted. This issue does not occur with Samsung's SMS application. We have tested on our side (Orange), and business contacts and numbers are displayed on the personal part. We have also tested with the customer, but it works randomly. Please take the necessary action.

Hi,I am currently using android phone(galaxy note 8, android 9) to enroll company portal. Before 01/2025, my company was Western Digital, and I could use company portal including bunch of android apps such as outlook. However, my company was separated to Sandisk, and I cannot use company portal after that. Is there any opinion why my phone cannot install company portal? When I try to use Microsoft intune, it always stops at the last stage of setting work profile. It says the device setting should be changed except the information; which device setting I should change to be fit for the company portal. Please give me any advice to make me available to use company portal.Or did android stopped supporting google enterprise old phones just like mine?

Hi,Few of our work profile customers are facing issue accessing work profile notifications on their smart watches. This used to work before and it stopped working few weeks back. We have not done any changes to the Android Management API policies and are not sure what is causing this. Is there a specific policy setting applicable for this that we need to enable? Attached few screen shots.Thank you.

I am considering the introduction of Android Enterprise in my company and am testing the distribution of configuration policies from Intune. The enrollment profile is set to COBO (Android Enterprise corporate owned fully managed). I do not want users to log in with their personal Google accounts, so I want them to log in to apps like Google Meet with the Google Workspace account managed by the company. However, when I set the "Restrict personal accounts" policy in Intune to block, no Google accounts can be added at all. Conversely, if I disable this setting, both personal and Google Workspace accounts can be logged in. Does anyone know a solution to this?

Hi.I have tried to set up a zero-touch account, but when I log in at https://enterprise.google.com/android/zero-touch/customers, I get an error message like "Error 403. The account xxx@yyyy.zz is not authorized to see this page. Contact your administrator for access, or use another account."How can I get help with this issue? I can't see who would be "my administrator"...
