Feasibility of Using Android Management API for Direct Management and Limit Increase

NSM
Level 1.5: Cupcake

We are planning to use the Android Management API (AMAPI) to manage devices and work profiles within our organization. Our goal is to set up devices for educational purposes and for students, and we intend to develop our own management system using AMAPI without relying on external solutions (such as EMM solutions). We would like to know if this is feasible.

Additionally, if it is possible, we are aware that there are device allocation limits (500 devices) and query limits per project. Given our estimated requirement of over 30,000 devices (with potential for further increase in the future), we would like to know if there might be any issues with requesting an increase in these limits when using a self-built management system.

As we are currently in the project design phase, resolving this matter is critical for our decision to use the Android Management API. We look forward to your response.

Hey @NSM,

Nice to meet you. Thanks for your question.

It sounds like you might be a partner, and I would recommend raising this question in the Partner Portal. Here is the link: Android Enterprise Partner Portal .

I hope this helps and please do keep me posted if you can.

Thanks so much,

Lizzie
